I am thinking about how time seems sped up compared to 10-20 years ago. A few years ago there was a guest on a radio show who asked his scientist friends if they thought time had sped up and to his surprise one of his physicist friends said time did speed up and he explained how but I don't remember what he said. Something to do with the planets and I think the sun. Anyway, the guest also said that he asked God why it feels like time goes by quicker and God told him that He has sped it up for a reason. I forget the reason.
Ok so I wanted to see if I could find the reason why God supposedly said that He sped up time and I found this scripture which is about the time of "The Abomination of Desolation". I hope this doesn't turn into a bible discussion thread, but here's the scripture...

Matthew 24:22 (NIV):
“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

YO DID YOU SEE THAT TREE THAT BURNED???
If you find one that is burning, but it doesn't burn up, let me know. We may need to take our shoes off and go see that one.

Sorry. Ignore me. I'm reading Exodus today.

That is really interesting, is there a video or podcast about it you can recommend?

You will notice I am staying right here instead of moving to there. That is one of the many reasons why.

Let me know if you want to move here. The asphalt doesn't buckle nearly as much where I live. The ambient temperature isn't nearly as hard on the roads in this area, you see.
Lucky to live in a large, nice, traditional style flat but the ambient temperature is often nearly hot enough to bake potatoes during the summer. Which is because there are two Juliet balconies with glass doors, BIG windows and as they face S.E. to West, the flat is on the third/top floor and the view is lovely but very open, it's in the path of the sun throughout the day. The temperature in the flat averages 5 degrees C hotter than outside, i have to tinfoil the windows and doors and draw the blackout curtains to limit the heating, or it would be much worse.

This time of year with cooler temperatures is near heavenly for me, my heating bills are low too but already troubling thoughts about late spring and summer are crossing my mind

Many years ago the homeless was the topic of a radio talk show and the guest who knew a lot about the homeless in California said many of them actually choose to be homeless because they enjoy not having responsibilities. They can sleep all day, don't have to pay any bills, pay any taxes, go to work, etc... I know a lot of them didn't choose it and there are a lot who want help. There was a news story years ago about a homeless woman who was picked up by the police because she was doing something in a store and wouldn't leave. I think she was sleeping or something. When the cops searched her they found she had thousands of dollars in cash on her person. She had cash hidden in all the layers of clothes she was wearing. But she was just an old bag lady that the workers see everyday. It's the money people had been giving her on the street over the years.
Must admit i haven't lived in areas where homelessness is rife but often saw them on my traveling to work etc, still think at least the vast majority were genuine.

Personally think the world had a nervous breakdown in 2020 from which it won't recover, things are far more likely to continue to worsen.

Still think most beggars are genuine but many now seem to be losing much of their humanity to me, having become capable of acts which wouldn't even have entered their minds in the recent past. Think the world is now a very frightened, angry place which will become so much worse, i thank the LORD for being a believer now and knowing only He is the answer to what's happening.

Big oops! When saying many are losing now their humanity i was referring to people in general, not just beggars. Meaning people who aren't in genuine need might now be begging too.

Oh I haven't been watching the new fires up north. The Palisades and Eaton fires were more in my area.
I've been keeping an eye on the Hughes Fire (and the Hurst fire a while back) since Santa Clarita (where I grew up) sits all too close to them.

I'll see if I can find something but it was the "Coast-to-Coast AM" radio show. I think it was one of their youtube videos since I don't listen to it at night anymore. It's basically an all-night radio talk show. I was listening while using the treadmill.
