There were only about 2 dozen (maybe 4 dozen, can't remember) continuously monitoring thermometer stations in the entire southern hemisphere, with most of those being in SE Australia, for the first 70 years of the temperature record. Since they don't have adequate temp records to be able to know what the temps were throughout the entire southern hemisphere for half of the temperature record, they simply make data up. I got this info directly from NASA
BOY HOWDY!!!! But nothing's really all that different than it ever has been. Edger Allen Poe was the one who, in 1845, coined the message:
"Believe NOTHING that you hear, and only half of what you see". the national media is mostly total garbage, and the internet is at least an order of magnitude less reliable than that. With the ability to doctor video data, you shouldn't believe anything that you See either in 2025.

National analysis of Australian temperature began in 1910.
Australia has temperature records before 1910 but it became national in 1910.
All I am interested in is the temperature records since the 1950s.
Why is that? Because I lived through those yearly temperatures from the 1950s.
Globally, the last two years have been the hottest years on record, that is an observational fact.
Our household used heaters in winter until I was twenty years old.
After I was twenty years old we had no need for a heater anymore.
Since the Ocean makes up 70% of surface it seems the temperature of the ocean is more important and also easier to monitor.
There are people out there that do not believe that the Apollo missions, landed men on the moon.
Neither Russia or China had any doubt that Armstrong walked on the moon.
Ten tears after the Apollo missions ended some fellow wrote a book doubting, that Armstrong
walked on the moon.

Assuming all of that is accurate, it does not require high technology to measure the temperature and since everyone would do it given the chance it is certainly reasonable assumption. That means temperature is up 0.4%
Notice how they don't say that, instead they say 1.2 degrees and many will assume the same thing. This is a big deal because the different systems on earth are elastic. The idea that the earth can handle a 0.4% increase is very reasonable.
Second, from human standpoint 150 years is about 2% of human recorded history. So you have a small sample size.
There is no reason to assume that the starting temperature should be considered an ideal temperature for the earth. Why? Was the Ice age a more ideal temperature? I don't think so. Therefore the earth warming up after the ice age is not a bad thing and it certainly has. But the truth is I don't know.
What I do know is they are very deceitful in the way they present the science.
1. The carbon cycle is a cycle. The carbon in the atmosphere acts as fertilizer helping plants grow.
2. It is possible that the extra carbon is having harmful impacts on certain creatures in the sea.
3. But it is also very possible that the extra carbon is sequestered as methane hydrates at the bottom of the ocean.
But the whopper of a lie that they tell people is that we have to stop burning "fossil fuel". It isn't fossil fuel. It isn't cooked dinosaurs, or ancient algae. The methane hydrates at the sea floor are on a conveyor belt known as plate tectonics and they are what is cooked and turned into petroleum. Wells that were essentially dry and plugged were discovered to be refilled twenty years later. We are not burning fossil fuel, we are burning recycled carbon.
Finally the obvious and very clear solution to all this is not to waste trillions of dollars on the Green new deal. This last week China operated a Fusion reactor for 17 minutes. With AI and quantum computers it is very reasonable that we will have working fusion reactors in no time. So instead of wasting our resources on nutty waitress schemes and Hollywood elites, why not focus on a real solution.
I can't quote it because it was an interactive 3D globe app on the NASA website. You could plug in the date range and rotate and spin the globe to see where the temp stations were. For continuous temp recording stations from 1880 to 1950, ie, one half of the temp record, there was only one in S America below the equator, 2 in Africa below the equator, none in Antartica, 10-20 in Australia mostly in the SE coast, and a few in SE Asia. That's it for the whole southern hemisphere. So when they say that the global temp has risen 1.6C since 1850, they are just lying because they have no idea what the global temp was for most of the temperature record. They simply fill in the gaps with made-up data, and gullible people believe them.

I taught Earth Science for many years, so yes, I am familiar with that fact. But now my turn, did you know in the last 70 years the number of earthquakes on Earth is up 1,000%. That is significantly more than a 0.4% increase in temperature or a 6 inch rise in sea level.
You omitted tree rings and ice core samples for a start.

Analyze the last fifty years because that's all that matters and that is all digital thermometers and satellites.
The last 50 years won't cut it. The 1930s were warmer in the US than it is now. Go study the heat records back then; nothing like it now
