Yes, or it may be stated that all are called to be saved/serve the Lord, but few (choose to) accept God's calling or Gospel and become chosen.

The election and predestination are not the same as you imply. Eph 1:12 the election are those that first trusted Christ. It is because they first trusted Christ that they are predestined. But if you're going to dress the election you have to address who first trusted Christ

I would agree based on these replies the people are making up their own definition of the election it is clearly written they are the first to trust Christ Eph 1:12 and they are predestined to carry out his will. the king has his men and they are the few we are to put on as the election as written in the original post
How can you choose something you know nothing about of course he gave us his word so we would know him. But that does not address the topic of the election. the misunderstanding of the election as seen here. not one of these replies have said the election are the first that chose Christ Eph 1:12

Paul opened the epistle to the saints in Ephesus with his typical greeting before writing a long sentence teaching about salvation in terms of election and predestination.
TOP #142: Because of His love God chose believers in Christ from before the creation to be adopted as His children through faith in Jesus Christ, in whom believers have redemption or forgiveness of sins because of his death. [EPH 1:3-8] This plan of salvation (POS) is called being “chosen” or “predestined” (v.4-5&11). It sounds as though the entire universe was created solely in order to carry out God’s POS. This mention of predestination to holiness is a significant restatement of TOP #41.
TOP #143: “In him/Christ” refers to those who elect to become elect or chosen by understanding and believing/hoping in Jesus for salvation. [EPH 1:4-15] IOW, election involves cooperation between the will of God and the volition or limited free moral will of human souls. God creates and initiates; humans cooperate—or not.
One has to first trust in Christ, then he becomes part of the elect to service. The context of election is to service, not salvation. Btw, election is not even mentioned in Ephesians 1.
