When people say "Christ only died for the elect" or something similar to that they inadvertently expose their bias against others not like themselves. This usually has roots in denominational teaching: raised in an "us vs. them" culture, they just expand the boundaries of their prejudice to include more people on the "them" side.
For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” 6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Did you ever stop to think "Why does it matter?" If we are not privy to who is going to heaven, then why does it matter if Christ died for all or for some? How does that knowledge change our life? It shouldn't, unless there is a scheme that informs the behavior of people who believe such things.

I only quote that because when you folks are saying only some are chosen and able to hear and be saved you are also saying everyone who ends up in the lake of fire is because God didn’t allow them to be saved. By his Will he didn’t give them grace in order to be saved by faith

I don't know where you get that from, just like I don't know where you get that everyone hears, because His sheep hear, whereas others do not hear with comprehension, since what they hear is foolishness to them. Plus, those given to Jesus WILL come. Do they have a choice in that, or is it that hearing and understanding the Truth they are like Peter and Paul, knowing themselves to be the worst of sinners with nowhere else to go? No not in any way have I said that or suggested it. I’m saying everyone can hear it but some don’t like what they hear so they move on from it wanting the world instead ……but it’s not because God didn’t let them believe they condemn themselves

Hello again... I am now at work and waiting for the coffee to steep or whatever it does in that fancy French press thingie. Zeke, you have said that everyone hears but I contend that people must hear with comprehension, and there are many Scriptures that speak of God opening the eyes and ears and hearts and minds of people so they can comprehend The Truth of God's word. I should have included that in my previous post to you but I was in a bit of a hurry trying to get out the door so I could arrive to work on time being half an hour late already as it is LOL
