LA County is on fire, I'm not near any of the fires but our cars and streets are covered with soot, but like over 1,000 structures burnt down in like 4 or 5 fires. Lord Jesus, have mercy on Los Angeles County, even as we as a whole have drifted from your ways. Protect the first responders who courageously put their lives on the line and calm the winds in your mighty name.

We did pray for this on our Monday liturgy.
We have members from California.
May God protect you all and all the firemen. May all of this distress be calmed in God's name!

I didn’t drift from His ways. I got the emergency alerts telling me to evacuate but i knew God would protect me because i literally spend time in His word when I get up every morning, daily. I have his protection. I literally only peeked outside once the entire week. Had no care in the world. I personally believe that most of the people, whose properties were burnt down, were most likely wicked anyway.

Mel Gibson’s home burned down. He’s a believer; but he’ll be fine.
I really do feel an extra ounce of sympathy for those w/o the financial means to rebuild.

i haven’t really been watching the news, reading or listening to anything about it. Have been kinda isolated in my own little world but I know if it were to happen to me, I’m pretty sure I’d be devastated too, wondering why God would do such a thing and what am I supposed to be learning from this event.
