As far as your question goes, it seems certain that Christians in India would know that there is only one God, as would those of the Hindu sect who are aware of what Christianity/the Bible teaches us about the One God or Trinitarian Godhead (even though they may personally believe in the Hindu faith's 330 million gods).

Many Hindus are mainly familiar with the Catholic religion because of what they were briefly told in school. I don’t believe they are familiar with the Trinity.
