I wonder how many people here have been blessed by the books and recorded sermons of A W Tozer?
I particularly liked his The Pursuit of God and God's Pursuit Of Man.
I appreciate his insight into what is wrong with the modern Christian and the Church. His answers are not easy
but they ring true.
What about you, what has blessed you from his ministry?

I am one of the blessed. Hs little book The Pursuit of God is the most read book on my shelf with but one exception. I know I have read it at least 20 times, I make a note on the cover. No other Christian book comes close.

I've heard of him but don't know anything about him.
He is an author who wrote something almost textbook today entitled "Knowledge of the Holy" which is the most up to date and thorough description of God's attributes.

When we say "God is Sovereign" what do we really mean by that? Or God is Omniscient.

Most of the theological errors can be eradicated by an understanding of God's attributes as described by Tozer.

This book doesn't have any cliche soundbites that will work as a meme or as part of a poster hanging on a wall. It's not exactly an easy read either. (Long run-on sentences )

But it is the most definitive book on God's attributes that many of the best pastors and theologians have a firm understanding of and its regularly part of the curriculum of a seminary course.

The book is almost 100 years old today. And I tend to just gloss the poetry that starts each chapter....but it's most definitely a worthwhile read and study.
