For a long time, I thought I had you defeated.
But only to find that it was I who was conceited.
Thinking I had accomplished maintaining peace.
My sanity began to cease.
Stuck in a spiral, as I try to fight it with denial.
I discovered it was all a facade, a self-made prison of security.
An effort of conformity,
I became my own fatality.
Prayers were answered in many ways, but I was still left with my own fragility.
Your words fell silent or more like distant.
The pit of despair almost consuming me, and the darkness began polluting all that surrounded me.
Your hand reached out, snatching me from the void with such intensity I was left with uncertainty.
How to process, to prepare, to trust my mentality. I can't help but feel my insecurities.
Lord help me as it is more evident than ever that your strength is all that can free me.

Hey, RoughSoul.

I am sorry to hear about your ongoing struggles, and now I am wondering if that is not reflected in your username. Whatever the case may be, there is hope...literally. In other words, as I assume you already know, when it comes to our spiritual armor, that which is designed to protect our minds is the helmet of salvation (Eph. 6:17) or, more specifically and relevantly, a helmet, the hope of salvation (1 Thess. 5:8). In fact, during his incarnation, Jesus required this same exact helmet of salvation (Isa. 59:17) in order to endure.

Years ago, when going through some major mental struggles of my own, I heard this teaching series on Hope, and it tremendously helped me. Based upon your studying/teaching style which you described on one of your other threads, I believe that this man's teaching style will be a perfect match for you. Here is a link to the 10 part teaching.

Each teaching is only about 10 or 11 minutes long. Originally, these messages were a part of a two week radio teaching on this topic. If you listen to it, then I believe that it will be of help to you.

Beyond that, if you ever want to talk about who we truly are in Christ, then I would be happy to have that conversation with you as well. This topic, in my estimation, is one of the most overlooked topics in all of scripture, and I believe that a lot of people are suffering as a direct result of it.

Anyhow, there definitely is total liberty available for you in Christ, so be encouraged. I will be praying for you as well.
