Nobody gets forced......
Except for Mary at conception.
And every believer that you stridently proclaim is forced to wed Jesus irrespective of their own free will, consent or permission.

Moving the goal posts again are we?

No. It's the explanation for why God effects salvation as He does. Not admitting what is actually true of fallen man is what causes the confusion.
They don't need Jesus. They have their false doctrine.

I don't think they want to understand. It would mean acknowledging they fell hook line and sinker.

The natural man is their kind of guy! Not so bad as Scripture makes him out to be, after all.

According to what they believe, we are not to believe it when Jesus says, "Only God is good."

A scapegoat in that sense that it is used so that salvation can only be given by effectual coercive grace for only some.
pfs...who has said grace is coercive but your side? Grace is liberating, not restrictive. The nature of fallen man is restrictive.

Oh, so you leave off now the "you and your household"?

It does not specify that they are the ones believing. Why do you read that in?

Ah, I get it, you think the person hostile in their mind to God will just up and choose to love Him. Got it.

The slave to sin captive to the will of the devil suppressing the truth in unrighteousness lover of darkness.

The one with a heart of stone. Yes, I understand.

Believe and THEN be saved. Simple as that.

Jesus' words in Matthew 17:20-21
Faith the size of a mustard seed moved the mountain of my unbelief .:)

Funny how you guys all avoid this part.
Who is you guys? All??? You ask one person and suddenly we are all avoiding it?

What are you even going on about?

Oh, I get it. You are right and we are wrong. Yes. I understand now.

You did not answer my question.

Do you say be baptized in water and then you are saved, also?

There's a verse that says that. 1 Peter 3:21

You didn't address the point of my post.
Which comes first? The beating or the things worthy of a beating?

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.

Still avoiding it I see.

How is being beaten the point of your post? I don't see the connection between the two.

That is, being beaten, and believing on Jesus. Please explain.

Oh, I get it. Honestly admitting I do not know what you are talking about deserves derision and lies from you. Yes, I do understand.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Believe and THEN you are saved.

What does that have to do with being beaten? You said that was the point of your post.
Acts 16:31
So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household.”

Luke 12:48
But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few.........

Believe and THEN you shall be saved.

Commit things worthy of stripes and THEN you shall be beaten.

Simple.

If you want to simplify it that is your right. I was under the impression we are not to make a doctrine based on one verse.

I was brought to life as a dead person. Then, sometime later, my heart was circumcised. When I came to believe
with my new heart, I was sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit. There are more moving parts than just coming
to believe. Things that HAD TO precede that. People deny these things. They make the natural man with his stony
heart capable of doing that which Scripture PLAINLY says he is incapable of doing. Some say baptism saves you.
I was already saved before I got water baptized. Now you are talking about being beaten as if it proves something.

Try another way. God chose Israel out of all the nations in the OT and largely only brought salvation to them. Do you have a problem with God almost exclusively saving Jews?

I wonder too if @Kroogz agrees with HiIsHere that personal revelation is worthy of being
scorned and mocked, despite it being a necessary part of the salvation process as per Scripture.

2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts

Walking after their false doctrines, too. It makes sense to include them as a lust, especially since they're connected to pride.
