Hey Everyone!

The Introvert/Extrovert thread (of which it seems only introverts answered) hinted at another type of "What Are You?" thread in the making... Here is that most-anticipated thread! :D

While looking up the "official" definitions of these words, I was surprised to see how many other types of "vores" there are, though I guess I should have seen it coming, seeing as everything nowadays has to have at least a couple hundred variations.

Just for fun, I'm going to write a poll listing/explaining several types of "vores." Which one(s) do you identify with most, and why?! Come back and tell us why you chose what you did in your post!

And, *BONUS ROUND* - make up your own kind of "something-vore" that applies to you and what your own definition of it is.

For instance, I am definitely a "Burg-a-vore" -- I don't eat out often, but if I do, my first meal of choice (where applicable) will almost always be a cheeseburger. :D What can I say, you just can't argue with the classics!

How about you? :) What kind of "vore" are you?

P.S. I just got finished writing the poll and used up all the choices... There was not enough space for an "Other" box, so be sure to come back and tell us what unique type of "Vore" that you are! :p

I am of the order of Cafevora. The entymology suggests that the word coffee is derived from a word for "wine" and "the dark one." This is also included in the order Berrivora and Beanivora, and more specifically Arribicavora.

As usually, @Mem wins 1000 extra bonus points for intellectual creativity!

I'm really liking the thought of being classified as a "Bean-i-vore."

But could that also include... ?

I seem to be a genuvore. I like almost all kinds of foods, but only real foods that are being honest about themselves.

I like cauliflower. I like cauliflower mashed and mixed with salt and butter. But I don't like cauliflower when you try to pretend it tastes just like mashed potatoes. It doesn't taste anything like mashed potatoes. Don't get me started on pizza with cauliflower pretend crust. Make your pizza crust out of spelt or almond flour like a normal celiac.

I like all kinds of vegetables, but not when they are pretending to be meats. The impossible Burger is aptly named. It is impossible.

Don't get me started on fast food. All the "meat" may have 100% come from somewhere on an animal, but it ain't meat.

Pizzavore. It used to be once a week but now once a month. I put on weight too easily.

I too am a Burg-a-vore, which is a subset of carnivore. I chose carnivore but if I don't have a fresh kill I'm not above gathering berries and leaves.

I have to admit, sometimes I get sucked into learning about different diets/eating plans on YouTube.

And of course, I'm especially drawn in when they all start talking about how much energy they have, how much weight they've lost, how great their health metrics are...

But is it just me or do pretty much all of these plans seem to require mass amounts of time (cooking everything from scratch,) and money (buying everything organic)?

And the realist (o-vore?) in me knows it's a lifestyle way beyond my reach.

I'm definitely a coffeevore.

Also an ice-cream-vore, but I'm trying to break this vice. The coffeevore holds though!

I love all the self-classifications!

I'm also thinking that I am a Noodle-a-vore.

I could pretty much eat noodles at all hours of the day, every day of the week, but alas. My blood work says otherwise when it comes to carbs. :cautious:

But if it were up to me, I would be feasting non-stop on noodles particularly of the Asian and Italian variety. (Maybe I secretly have some Italian genes somewhere along the line!)
