People tend to mellow out as they get older. That's for the best. I have a fattening side dish that might win them over.
Potato salad
12 egg
6-10 ib red potatoes
1 large best foods mayo
1 can olive
1 celery heart
2 pickles
boil potatoes eggs
put in the fridge overnight
peel potatoes and eggs
then cut potatoes into 6th or 8ths and eggs into 6th
finely sliced celery and pickles. Use 3/4 mayo container.
Mix, then add olives, mix again, and top with a bit of paprika and black pepper.
I’m usually not a fan of potato salad because my mother either buys it from a restaurant or from the grocery store but there is something about preparing the food from scratch and making it at home, that makes just about any food item taste good.
I’m also reminded of a Hawaiian macaroni salad that I had recently that didn’t taste authentic AND had potatoes in it, so I was a little disappointed. We bought like a giant tray of it for my brothers birthday party and everyone was disappointed in it cause we know what real Hawaiian macaroni salad tastes like and has in it, cause my moms side of the family was born and raised in Hawaii.
I hate store-bought potato salad. It’s always chalky. My cousins want this recipe but can't have it. You are quite lucky my grandfather said never to share it, but i don't make it much anymore and it might help you. I hope you like it![]()
I have my own potato salad recipe, but I'm not posting it here. Sorry. It's a secret.
My recipe book isn't called recipe book...it's called Book of Secrets lol![]()
I never have been able to make guacamole. I never can get past peeling the avocados. Every time I peel one, I eat it. I can't build up enough avocados to mash them up for guacamole, because I keep eating them as fast as I peel them.My dad has a secret guacamole recipe that I have saved in my notes app on my phone. He has a bunch of unique dishes that I love but if I were to ever hold onto one recipe, it’s his guacamole. Completely from scratch and prepared to serve like 12 people as a dip with tortilla chips.
In the future, if I ever have a group of people over, i would definitely want to prepare that, along with my own unique recipes.
One other recipe I would want of my dad’s is his potato chicken tacos.
The way he fries his taco shells in oil is so unique, that I’ve never seen it done before. He has a way of making them crispy and bendable at the same time, along with flattening the base of each taco shell for maximum innerds.

well, that's your problem.... you don't peel avocados... you cut them in half, remove the seed, then scoop out the avocado with a spoon. Do this with 5 or 6 medium avocados, squeeze in half a large lime, add about a half an onion finely diced, garlic powder (or use whole garlic minced), shake some chili powder in, shake coarse kosher salt in, to taste, add a dash or two of cayenne pepper, mash it all up with a potato masher. Easy-peasy....I never have been able to make guacamole. I never can get past peeling the avocados. Every time I peel one, I eat it. You wouldn't believe how fast I can eat avocados. No way that even cutting and scooping will outpace eating.well, that's your problem.... you don't peel avocados... you cut them in half, remove the seed, then scoop out the avocado with a spoon. Those are not the people we are ridiculing here. We are ridiculing those who measure everyone else's Christianity by their own yardsticks and judge others as "real" Christians or "fake" Christians based on how they measure up.I only skimmed through this thread, but why the need to mock or ridicule those who choose not to celebrate certain holidays because of their personal, and, in my particular case, well thought out convictions?
Let me put one troll here on ignore before he gets a chance to run his sewer-y mouth again.
