What is God's requirement for salvation (GRFS)?
Jesus the son of God the highest authority has already answered this question, a rich man asked this same question here was Jesus answer;

Mat 19:16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and inquired, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to obtain eternal life?”
Mat 19:17 “Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
Mat 19:18 “Which ones?” the man asked. Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness,
Mat 19:19 honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Mat 19:20 “All these I have kept,” said the young man. “What do I still lack?”
Mat 19:21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
Mat 19:22 When the young man heard this, he went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.
Mat 19:23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 19:24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
Mat 19:25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

Here is the verse:

John 3:18
New International Version

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

The belief or non-belief in the Son of God is not pre-ordained or even mentioned in this verse.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ephesians 2:1-3
New International Version

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.

There is no mention of mankind being pre-ordained "dead in transgressions, followers of the kingdom of the air or deserving of wrath." in these verses. We become this way but we are not pre-ordained

So what is your point?

Do we have the free will to believe the gospel? Be honest and straightforward.
I have been. The gospel given without revelation will not convince anyone of its truth unto salvation. Read the passage in Matthew 16. Jesus' church is built upon the revelation of God that Jesus is indeed the Christ.

I believe they do once God condescends to them and gives them revelation of Christ and what He has done for them in Christ.
"condescends to them" ???
What does this mean?

Does God universally grant this grace to all mankind or just those (few or not) to whom He has pre-ordained?

Are the people who are granted (many or few) this revelation able to refuse it?

I don't believe people don't respond of their own volition.
"You don't believe people people don't respond", this is sleight of hand verbiage. You are fooling no one.

When God draws near an individual it is with the purpose of salvation.
Did Noah find grace before God came to him?
Did Abraham come to faith before God came to him?
Did Paul come to faith before Jesus made Himself personally known to Him?
No one comes to God without God first revealing Christ to them. Revelation and enlightenment has always been the way salvation has come to mankind.
But God doesn't only enlighten the mind. He also changes the heart. This was the promise from early on...Ezekiel 36:26-27. He also places His Spirit in the individual, making them partakers of the divine nature.
If you read Acts 2:37, you see this happening in those who heard Peter speak...when they heard this...revelation given, they were pricked in the heart...new heart given, what shall we do?...will affected. Of their own volition they then repent and are baptised. But God wrought the changes in them to bring salvation to pass.

The reason I shared John 3:18 and Ephesians 2:1-3 was because they make clear man's estate before they are saved. Man is under condemnation and under the control of Satan. They are dead spiritually, being dominated by the evil one, and are doomed. It doesn’t say they magically overcame this condition. Ephesians 2:4 says that God does this. I just showed you how God does this.

What is problematic is that "firstfruits" means the first person to resurrect and translate to heaven. Perhaps Enoch was a type or OT foreshadowing of Christ? What happened to Lazarus? I guess we can add 1 Kings‬ ‭17:20-24‬ ‭to the discussion, although perhaps the boy was merely revived or resuscitated.
“What is problematic is that "firstfruits" means the first person to resurrect and translate to heaven. “

where did you get this from ? Is it how you interpret firstfruits or is it how the Bible explains it ?

Do you notice how the New Testament clarifies the Old Testament like this I mean

In the ot we see these verses

“and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭5:22-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s mysterious what did it mean that god took him ? Why doesn’t it say he died like the others ? ….the new testement is revelation of the old like this

This is how to interpret that early verse

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:

for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can now understand what happened with Enoch. Biblically . He called upon the name of the lord like Christian’s do . He walked with God as Christian’s are called to walk with God by his spirit and God translated him rather than let him go into death like he promises Christian’s who keep his word

I mean we can say maybe Enoch is a special type of Christ , but there’s nothing to say that what it says is “by faith Enoch was translated and never saw death because he pleased God “

The young boy whose soul had left his body ? And Elijah prayed and asked for God to restore his soul into his body ? It seems clear to me the woman’s son died in early verses and Elijah prayed and brought him back to life heres more from Elijah

“And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed. He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD. ( he can give life always has been able to Elijah knew it and believed )

And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭4:32-34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He brought a dead. Ot back to life my friend only not he but the lord who’s always been the one who declares life and death from the beginning whether Enoch or someone who died and was raised up again by Jesus

just like Jesus did here

Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. ….Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.”
‭‭John‬ ‭11:14, 22-23, 25-26, 39-44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul also did it when a man fell out of a window and was dead and then paul stretched out his body on him like Elijah did and he came to life after they ate and paul left

It’s Gods word that gives man life it’s always been that way he’s always been able to create life from nothing like when he created man and breathed his life into them . And made them a living soul

his power doesn’t end there he can also translate a person before they die so that thier permanent spiritual body comes forth as they leave th ier old flesh behind

he can take a man who’s beginning to smell from being dead four days and speak to the man and raise him up to life again . God has always and forever been able to give us life who hear and believe his word

hes stopped the sun in the sky he’s cast darkness of three days over all the land he’s parted the sea so that his people walked on dry land and then collapsed the sea to devour thier enemies he speaks and worlds rise up , he speaks again and they fall in a blaze of wrath and terror

Its no hard thing for God to raise a dead man to life or to keep a promise like this

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

who really does that ? That’s an entirely new subject but the promise is there and has always been

I have been. The gospel given without revelation will not convince anyone of its truth unto salvation. Read the passage in Matthew 16. Jesus' church is built upon the revelation of God that Jesus is indeed the Christ.
Its why the real gospel is preached

“but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
‭‭John‬ ‭20:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It isn’t saying “ later you’ll magically believe without hearing “ it’s saying the reason the gospel is written is so you can believe ( that jesusnos the Christ the son of God) and know you have life through his name there’s nothing else to convince us but what’s in the gospel it’s written and preached in the world so people can hear and believe it

jesus already did his part we can only believe when we are willing to hear

this is an offer to all creation made by the lord

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is nothing else to say “ God will make some of you believe and others he will stop them from believing “ it’s finished it’s done we have to now listen and believe the truth it’s what he said brother look at what he said , that’s how he makes us able

When God draws near an individual it is with the purpose of salvation.
When "God draws near an individual" it is after He has searched their heart and mind. (Jeremiah 17:10, 20:12 and Psalm 7:9).

God searches the hearts and minds of man.

He does not make or change their hearts or minds without their consent.

Those who desire this change ask for this change of heart and mind.

This is the verse that you should keep in mind:

Mark 9:23-25
New King James Version

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

The father asked for a heart to believe, it was not pre-ordained or against his consent.

They are dead spiritually, being dominated by the evil one, and are doomed. It doesn’t say they magically overcame this condition. Ephesians 2:4 says that God does this. I just showed you how God does this.
The question is not "how" but "when".

Were they pre-ordained to overcome their condition or did God change their heart when they searched for God?

God may have rested from His work in creation, but He hasn't rested from His work in the re-creation. Read how the church is built in Matthew 16.

I shared with you when...Acts 2:37. What does Acts 2:47 reveal about who gets saved and who chooses who is saved?

God may have rested from His work in creation, but He hasn't rested from His work in the re-creation. Read how the church is built in Matthew 16.
“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:4-6, 20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
‭‭John‬ ‭19:30‬ ‭

“And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:6‬ ‭

“This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.”
‭‭John‬ ‭21:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.

( that’s salvation brother )

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16, 19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
‭‭John‬ ‭20:31‬ ‭

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ( preach the gospel to everyone whoever believes will be )

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? ( they were sent by Jesus into all the world to preach the gospel to everyone ) as it is written,

How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!( eternal life is a good thing to learn about because then you can believe it )

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:14-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

do you notice Paul’s quoting from Isaiah who also preached the death and resurrection of Christ ? Before it happened but as if it applies then beforehand ?

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. ( the gospel showed him to us all as we hear it )

Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD. ( also in the nt writings )

Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: so shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:7, 10-11, 13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:1, 3-6, 9-a

This is the source the gospel that’s in our bibles with four seperete accounts of Jesus and his word his life his miracle working power his doctrine his personality and his disposition towards sinners whom he loved and came to save Even to die for thier sins

then he sent out the message saying “ anyone who believes the gospel shall be saved “

then we look at his promises before he died for Instance when he promised to send believers in him the Holy Ghost . Note how they have to first hear the message and then they can believe it and be saved

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:22-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
( preach the gospel to all people everywhere )

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.( Peter is preaching trying to pursuade them with truth)

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: ( of course look what he said to them he said if they got baptized thoer sins would be remitted in Jesus name and they’d receive the free gift spirit ) and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. praising God,

…..and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:30-33, 36-42, 47‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There were probably people who thought “ none of that’s correct or right Peter just doesn’t understand it like I do “ because he was talking to Israelites who knew scripture and the law. Bit Peter had just received and began to speak by the holt ghost like Jesus told them would happen before he went up to his throne

But others believed what Peter was saying about Jesus and they responded because they believed it. That’s where we’re at now we can be saved if we believe the gospel and respond to Gods message of salvation.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of

them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬

It’s not that they unable to believe it’s that they hear and don’t believe that they are blinded by the enemy like eve and Adam were when thier eyes were opened to good and evil

eve and Adam tbey knew Gods word about the fruit ,

then they heard satans word about the fruit and obeyed his way rather than Gods

God will make some of you believe and others he will stop them from believing
Why would God stop anyone from believing?
I do not believe that is biblical.
Unless I am misunderstanding your statement.

Jesus the son of God the highest authority has already answered this question, a rich man asked this same question here was Jesus answer;

Jesus also answered the first question (v.16) in MT 5:48, "Be perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect."

He also inspired Paul to write that all sin (RM 3:23) = no one is perfect (PHP 3:8-16).

He also taught and inspired others to teach what the perfect elaboration of GRFS includes:
  1. There is a/one all-loving and just Lord or God (DT 6:4, JN 3:16, 2THS 1:6), who is both able (2TM 1:12) and willing (1TM 2:3-4) to provide all morally accountable human beings salvation or heaven—a wonderful life full of love, joy and peace forever.
  2. Human beings are selfish or sinful (RM 3:23, 2TM 3:2-4, CL 3:5), miserable (GL 5:19-21), and hopeless (EPH 2:12) when they reject God’s salvation or DOD (JN 3:18).
  3. Jesus is God’s Messiah/Christ or the way (means of providing salvation) that God has chosen (JN 3:16, ACTS 16:30-31, PHP 2:9-11), although pre-NT truthseekers could/can learn a proto-gospel via general revelation combined with conscience.
  4. Thus, every person who hears the NT Gospel needs to repent and accept God in Jesus as Christ/Messiah the Lord or Supreme Commander (LK 2:11, JN 14:6, ACTS 16:31), which means trying to obey His commandment to love one another (MT 22:37-40, JN 13:35, RM 13:9)—forever (MT 10:22, PS 113:2).
  5. Then God’s Holy Spirit will establish a saving relationship with those who freely accept Him (RV 3:20) that will eventually achieve heaven when by means of persevering in learning God’s Word everyone cooperates fully with His will (RM 8:6-17, GL 6:7-9, EPH 1:13-14, HB 10:36, 12:1, JM 1:2-4).

Amen.

It does not state.... "He that is given the gift of believeth"
indeed it’s an invite to all and anyone who responds because sinners are all condemned and so if we don’t accept Jesus for who he is it’s like these folks

“And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:23-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God just shows himself to mankind how much he loves us even though we’ve sinned and by the law are condemned to die shows us his face and person in Jesus Christ

and we are gonna accept him and believe or we are gonna reject him because we don’t believe the gospel and his own version of salvation. Or our hearts are filled up with the world and other words of truth we’ve accepted

The key to faith is to build faith upon Gods word found in the gospel. Of course that’s only the opinion of an old fool so shake a lot of Salt with it

Why would God stop anyone from believing?
I do not believe that is biblical.
Unless I am misunderstanding your statement.
It’s not biblical you’re right .

I’ve never said he does …..I said he doesn’t only enable a few to believe while not enabling others I’m saying anyone and everyone can believe the gospel humans can when they begin to understand the meaning of language and the concepts

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom
I'm not arguing that Jesus didn't do the work that makes salvation possible. In fact, I have already, in previous posts, stated what He actually did and why.

What I am saying is that the salvation that Jesus made possible must come to individuals in space and time. To understand how God effects salvation in an individual, it is necessary to understand his condition. You seem to believe an individual can simply hear the word of God preached and believe. I don't believe this based on what the word of God teaches concerning the spiritual estate of the unredeemed. I believe God must first do a work within an individual that enables hearing and changes the heart.
I recognize that this isn't your position.

yes exactly I believe human beings are designed by God to operate , learn and develope bY means of true information conveyed through words from God to man. And believes it’s been tbat way since the beginning of time.

“ I don't believe this based on what the word of God teaches concerning the spiritual estate of the unredeemed. “

brother I’ve never read anything in the Bible about “ the spiritual state of the unredeemed “ I must have missed that part

ive read tbat the redeemer has come to Zion and sent his salvation out to all the world great and small beginning at Jerusalem and whoever shall call upon his name in truth shall be saved

when you say “ the unredeemed “ do you mean all sinners before they accept the redeemer hear and believe the gospel ?
