As someone who is focused, embracing every step of life, How do you recruit friends into your circle?

Are you looking for friends or potential husband.
Either way, you will start off friends, but if there is no chemistry there
then a friend is still worth having.
You should still keep this friend if they are genuine and Christian.
You should keep on looking for a husband too, and pray God puts
the right person in your path.

Now the chemistry one can be tricky, because you may like the other person
in that way, and yet feel the other person does not feel the same for you,
they might well do feel the same but can not or are afraid to say so or open
that door, they may need to see you are invested in them before they do.
Be brave and let people know what you are looking for.
Ask your Pastor for advise, be honest and tell him you want a man in your
life as a husband, for all you know he might know a man who is thinking
it is time for him to find a wife and has asked his advise too.

All in all, it is a fun journey, be faithful to God and the blessings will come.

if you really want to make friends practice these steps:
1. become a born again Christian if you are not one.
2. stand in front of a mirror & practice a joyful smile.
3. rehearse sayings that are proper for greetings.
4. look presentable at all times.
5. seek out a pastor-psychologist for social tips on being gregarious, exciting & interesting.
6. ask Jesus for help in all this & to meet people.
7. consult with a trusted family member, pastor to friend.
8. believe in yourself, believe others will believe in you & cast out the devil, he's not going to want you to succeed in this area in any facet of life also). blessings to you.

i don't. i stopped making friends decades ago. too many partiers, drug addicts & atheists around. & i don't like staying up late..

Well you came here and asked the question, it might help more if you told us if your relationships are hot or cold. I think I see the problem though, your people skills seem rusty, answering questions with questions tells me a lot instead of answering the question put to you first, it puts people off wanting to deal with you.

What do I mean by saying so? there are many instances in life where all you need is someone to call, talk to, listen to, encourage, share and extend the love of God not only in the local assembly but worldwide. Another reason is about learning new cultures, missions and transitions. Otherwise sorry for the quiz and rusty skills. Well, I am pleased to see / hear this side of you. I can make friends, what holds me back?
A lot of disappointments, in-genuine people, even from Church people. Everyone where I am want the wealthy man, the flashy car, the person who is up front in the Church, every relationship in my Church is like this.
That puts me off people a lot, thus I have one true friend.
It is truly a blessing when one meets a genuine friend who walks in ways pleasing to the Lord.
I hope you find such a person, and you begin to walk together always trusting in and serving the Lord.

Body of Christ is to warn others of false brethren, fake Christians, who infiltrate Body of Christ to cause division and damage. No, we don't want this group in the Fox holes with us. We either stand up for Jesus or Satan. Fake Christian has outward appearance of pious, but inwardly they have no inner transformation. They malignant God's word, and manipulate.
Proverbs chapter 11
Where there is no guidance, a people fail, but in a abundant of counselors there is safety. Those who have Holy Spirit will never go against God's word. A good shepherds teach sound doctrine and always tell you the truth. Fake Christian will use Deception, and manipulate. False brethren are headed for sheol, it's holding place for the wicked until judgment Day. You won't find wisdom, and truth from twisted minds of Reprobates. They will corrupt you and hold your hand entering wide gate to sheol.
Proverbs chapter 24
A wise man is full of strength, and man of knowledge enhances his might. The only enhancement from the wicked is corruption. Why put foot in that circle ?
Proverbs chapter 15:22
Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed. Seeking wisdom and knowledge from God. Not traditions of men and philosophy. God's counsel leads to heaven. Satan's counsel leads to hell. What circle of friends appeal ??

There counsel amounts to dung hill.

Because the carnal minded is emiinty against God for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Remember Proverbs, man of knowledge enhances his might. The counsel of the wicked only enhancement is wide gate to sheol. Counsel of Jesus leads to heaven. Which path do we want to take.

And why to people especially those born again have to categorise people using worldly scale? Disappointments do happen now and then, I remember someone I called a friend, Siz in Christ, prayed together, share both tough and sweet moments together mercilessly stabbed my back. This is what made me opt for social media friends (brethren)
