Drinking arsenic and mercury; even now mercury in tooth fillings. Yeah I'm familiar with their depth of ignorance. I think the hurdle is processing that level of ignorance coming out of Paul, but also the idea of hair being genitalia. I mean that is so crazy it makes me laugh. This is going to take a while
Agree and absolutely ridiculous and has been has been proven false by actual sombre minded theologians and scholars if your research it out.

Heiser is on the fringe on some things so not a surprise he would concoct such a laughable theory.

I will say though Heiser makes a very good argument against original sin.

What do the sober-minded scholars object to? The belief that hair was considered genitalia seems to be well-documented in Greek writings. btw the theory is not Heiser's; he was just reading from the research paper

After carefully reading the paper Heiser referenced and some other things about veils and women back then, I've decided that, though it would be nice to definitively understand this topic, I just don't care about it enough to put the effort in. Plus it's somewhat toxic reading about Roman/Greek culture's dark and weird ideas. if anyone wants to read the paper plug this 10.2307/3268550 into https://sci-hub.st

Let me have this question.

If man is the spiritual female then how to become a spiritual female in the eyes of God as the husband?

According to the lord Jesus Christ the spiritual female must submit herself to God.

EPESHIANS 5:22-23
22
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

What is the meaning of Wives submit yourselves unto your husband?

This is what God said.
The spiritual female must not use her own understanding because the understanding of man is in letter or literal only.
PROVERBS 3:5
5
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

This is why we are not using our own understanding in the word LONG HAIR.

How about 1 CORINTHIANS 11:14
What is in God's understanding that A man Should Avoid having Long Hair?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Since Jesus being spiritual female which represents his long hair.
He describe himself. Being a spiritual female HE CAN DO NOTHING.
JOHN 5:19
19
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

EPESHIANS 5:22
22
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Because in Ephesians 5:23 Male is the provider or Male should do.
EPESHIANS 5:23
23
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Let us ask God the Father how Jesus lived.

In Jesus Spiritual life he submitted himself to God. He is dependent to God. He surrenders all the ways to salvation to God. Because God the Father said this.
ISAIAH 55:8-9
8 For my thoughts
are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

But in Jesus Physical Life He did not depend to God and he is dependent to himself
Yes, Jesus worked as Carpenter for his living or shall we say for his family living. Because he has brothers and sisters.
MARK 6:3
3 Is not this the carpenter
, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Jesus did not depend to God in his Physical Life because this is the Truth.
JOHN 6:63
63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus showed the way and leaving us an example:
JOHN 14:6
6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1 PETER 2:21
21
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Therefore: In Jesus Spiritual Life being a Female (Can Do Nothing) must have a Long Hair (Dependent to God)
But in Jesus Physical Life he is a Male (Provider or not dependent to God) as symbol of Short Hair.

Now let us read the verse again.
1 CORINTHIANS 11:14
14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

If Jesus is The Truth (John 14:6) and in his physical life (for living) he is a provider or has Short Hair, IT IS ASHAME UNTO JESUS if we are asking God the Father to provide our physical needs (John 6:63).
In our physical life we must follow what Jesus did. We must have a profession or skills or any resources that we may use for our living.

In addition, when it comes to the words of God, when it comes to salvation, we must not use our own understanding otherwise we are providing our own salvation or we are having a shorts hair in the eyes of God. This what happened to Samson when Samson had a short hair he lost is strength.

This is why God the Father gave us these warning:
JEREMIAH 17:5
5
Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
PROVERBS 3:5
5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;

Because when it comes to the word of God and when it comes to salvation, the way of God (Understanding of God) alone will prevail.

Um... what? This is ridiculous and borders on heresy. Firstly, where in Scripture does it say that Jesus had long hair? It doesn't! So don't make doctrinal statements with that as a foundation.

This idea of "spiritual female" has absolutely no foundation in Scripture, regarding Jesus or anyone else.

He describe himself. Being a spiritual female HE CAN DO NOTHING.
You have a low view of "female". Being female DOES NOT mean "can do nothing". Where did you get such codswollop?

Because in Ephesians 5:23 Male is the provider or Male should do.
EPESHIANS 5:23
23
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
That verse doesn't say what you think it says.

Jesus did not depend to God in his Physical Life because this is the Truth.
JOHN 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Wow. You stretch even the concept of stretch with regard to the meaning of Scripture. Jesus Himself stated, "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” If that isn't depending on the Father, I don't know what is.

Therefore: In Jesus Spiritual Life being a Female (Can Do Nothing) must have a Long Hair (Dependent to God)
Long hair does not mean "dependent on God". Again, where did you get this?

Your whole concept of Jesus is wacky. Perhaps you need to start again with the basics.

Many people reason around this but Paul is pretty plain here, a man should not have long hair.

1Co 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
1Co 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.

1Co 11:5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved.

Notice we are talking about hair here. You don't shave a scarf or a hat.

1Co 11:6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.

Again, talking about hair.

1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.

A man should not have long hair. Doesn't mean it must be high and tight, it can be long enough to comb and look nice but not long like a woman.

When someone is asking for a passage to be explained, they might see it as a bit unhelpful to state that the language is "pretty plain".

Does "nature" (not Scripture, but nature by itself) teach you that long hair on a man is wrong? It doesn't teach me that. ;)

This is what God reveals.

When it comes to the Law of God (And 1 Corinthians 11:14 is covered), according to the teaching of Jesus Christ to Paul, The Laws are Spiritual.
ROMANS 7:14
“For we know that the law is spiritual:
but I am carnal, sold under sin.”

The Literal Laws will bring you to damnation while Spiritual Laws will bring you to Salvation.
2 CORINTHIANS 3:6
6
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

The literal or letter Laws can be seen while Spirit can't be seen, this is how Paul give the description to the Spiritual Law. that giveth Life.
2 CORINTHIANS 4:18
18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Therefore: God referring to Short or Long Hair in 1 CORINTHIANS 11:14-15 is in Spiritual and can't be seen.

Reading the Bible can't be used own or man's understanding.
To understand exactly what God's meaning is by Divine Revelation.

Regarding to Jesus for having a long hair.

Samson is a Nazarene.
Samson being a Nazarene should have the Long Hair.

JUDGES 13:5
5
For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

We all know that Jesus is a Nazarene.
Therefore Jesus same as Samson have the Long Hair.

Although the letter or the story tells that Jesus being a Nazarene have long hair. But God message is referring to Spiritual Long Hair and not Literal Long Hair.

Um, no. You've taken unrelated sentences out of context and tried to connect them. That's a great way to invent a false doctrine.

In Romans 7:14, Paul is referring to the literal Law, the Sinai covenant. He is contrasting the spiritual nature of the Law with the carnal nature of his own existence. In 2 Corinthians, he is referring to the literal ("of the letter") Law, contrasting it with the Spirit of God Who gives life. Note that neither passage mentions "visible" or "invisible". In 2 Corinthians 4, Paul is talking about our focus which is not to be on our physical world or circumstances, but on the things of the unseen world: the redemption that awaits us beyond physical death.

The comments in 1 Corinthians 11 are referring to literal hair, which can be seen, not some unseen spiritual mystery.

When it comes to Salvation or to the word of God, nobody could make his own way.
Because this is the Truth:
Only God knows the way to Salvation.

The truth in Isaiah 55:8-9 why Jesus being a Spiritual Female, submitted or surrendered himself to God and claims that HE CAN DO NOTHING when it comes to way of salvation but to ask God's Mercy alone (to submit or to surrender).

EPESHIANS 5:22

No, Samson was a Nazarite. Read more carefully.

Nazarene, not Nazarite. Different completely.

Wow. Since you didn't read carefully enough, and conflated two unrelated concepts, you're left with nothing but a tangle and no argument at all.

When you don't understand the basic text, you can't claim to have divine insights about it and remain credible.

Has anyone considered this might have been written to Corinth because of all their problems with deviant sexual behavior? Paul might have been making that recommendation to help them combat these issues.

Do not be conformed to this world,[c] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

"Do not be conformed to this world" sounds like it's telling us to do the opposite and not concern ourselves with cultural/social norms.

This video is Dr. Michael Heiser presenting the research on the head covering issue in 1 Corinthians 11. A warning to all: this is not your standard Sunday morning sermon material. I only suggest that you listen with an open mind, as it might offend some of you.

I looked up 1st century hairstyles, and see that men typically wore their hair short and curly. Although length didn't matter in prepubescence, the short hairstyle indicated to the girls in town that their (bleep)s had dropped. So, in that cultural context, the community viewed long hair on a woman as an indication of fertility, and so operating in any official spiritual capacity in the presence of God while displaying her 'virility' would be considered as vulgar in a similar way that a man operating in the same capacity with his head covered (with long hair) would be viewed as something like a declaration of 'impotence' or a desire to 'draw up seed.'
That does make perfect sense to me.

That is, now that we (all) know that the then cultural connection with hair and fertility has no correlation, we no longer need to be sensitive toward that particular sensitivity that was idiosyncratic to that specific era.
