yes, that's proper to do so. God can not do anything more for you nor anyone else. He already has done everything. you said, "when i feel anxious or worried". never be anxious for anything: Phillipians 4:6,7. God teaches NOT to be anxious or to worry. the devil is encouraging your anxiety & so far, he's winning the battle. cast the devil out in the name of Jesus Christ. the devil has no power against the believer unless the believer lets him. & forgiveness is a huge issue. when people don't forgive, that's a major setback. you can't expect to fix yourself if you haven't forgiven others. study & learn 1st Peter 5:7 & 2nd Corinthians 5:17. helpful hint: write on postcards lessons you need to learn & post them round your house. recite them when you wake up & before you go to bed. here's a statement about worrying: "you either worry or worship". i choose to worship Jesus. also, it certainly seems to me that self healing still hasn't caught on in the world in a major way. i told you about my horrible upbringing as a kid & when i was older i established a method to breakdown the characteristics. i bought 1 book about the powers of your subconscious mind & only read the 1st page & a half of the book. it was all i needed. i put my mind to work admitting, identifying, recognizing & correcting all the issues within me that my parents dealt me. i didn't play any blame game either. you have to be totally honest within yourself for self healing to work . after all, you can't lie to yourself! did you ever hear of anyone telling anyone else: "hey, i lied to myself about this & that"! what i'm saying is when engaging in self healing, don't blame anyone, be totally honest, set a plan to recondition your mind loaded with faith & trust in Jesus & believe you will conquer all issues. when i initiated self healing, i saw immediate results & corrected everything on the quick side. there's anole Latin proverb: "stop, look & listen"! that means when someone is suffering, stop everything, slow down start rationalizing & review everything, admit, identify, recognize & correct. USE WISDOM! Proverbs 4:7 blessings to you.
