Cats don't meow at each other. They only meow to humans. Isn't that peculiar? It's like, they're they are effectively speaking in tongues when they do this. So, if a cat does actual meow at you, in particular, consider it that it probably thinks you might be an uncommonly special person.

Punishment for crimes in my country is a job of the govmint, so I'll leave that issue to the govmint. I do believe abortion is murder, I'll be clear about that.

Probably. Thinking of newborn kittens meowing for their mother.
They do give back what they can, though. I used to have a cat that'd leave a mouse on my daughter's pillow like a morning mint.

Doesn't that contradict the previous assertion that cats don't meow at each other, only at humans?

Yes :oops: I thought that I should've qualified that by adding, "with exception of newborn kittens..." after I had already submitted the assertion.

But believing abortion is murder is meaningless without the appropriate consequence, so what should that be?

The "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more" approach, I suppose. Otherwise, we'd have very few women that'd survive the consequence.

So they only meow to get the attention of the entities they expect to provide for them.

It is true that I have never seen an adult cat meow at another adult cat who also lived in my mother's home. They considered my mother the provider, and meowed at her frequently. But they never meowed at each other.

And I believe that their meows are purposefully designed to sound like little babies, which renders cat ladies totally helpless. I posted some pics of my feral tenants. One in particular, a rough looker that my son calls "Church," from Stephen King's Pet Sematary, I thought could only hiss a greeting, and then a blep (looks sort of like this :p). Well, only recently, it has managed to progress beyond the usual hiss and attempted a mew or two so, at least I know I've gained some measure of trust from it. However, my Baby Phat, Gandy, has only offered him(or her) a disapproving guttural growl looking out at them through the screen door. But if you ever hear something that sounds like Bruce Lee opening up a can of whitefish... watch out, Gandy is about to draw first blood.

How would the fathers be proven compliant or not, or if they demanded the abortion, and how would they be appropriately punished?

Surely it wouldn't be just the mothers aren't the only ones to be punished in every case.

I am adopted and while I have no history of my birth parents, anything could have happened.

I have often wondered if my birth mother or father wanted to abort me.

And what if she left me in a box in front of a theater (the only documented history I have) because my birth father had wanted me to be aborted?

I'd rather adopt the Norwegian model of corrections, personally. Unless something has change since my last research on the topic, their crime statistics speaks volumes in favor of it.

Using the Norwegian model of justice, the family is involved with the convict's rehabilitation so, the father would be offered the opportunity to voice his opinion about it. Before the fact might be a better deterrent, but even afterwards would make some impact on the matter in one way or another.

I had a conversation a few years ago with a person who was familiar with the Norwegian system of corrections, and she told me that it was a failure because they were incarcerating people for even the slightest misdemeanors. Even for driving a few miles above the speed limit. Made it look like it was a common thing that convicts didn’t pick up their bad habits. I guess statistics can lie more easily than Harris/Trump combined lol.

I actually service jails in Massachusetts, i used to, for computer issues.
Besides the jail being a 'hotel' compared to some other countries, it's basically a business model which cares about one thing and one thing only: Money.
This is why the US army pays like $100 for a hammer when we could get it for $10 at the HomeDepot.

Massachusetts sure sounds like it’s quite different from Texas.
