Luke 12:1-5
1 And when great multitudes stood about him, so that they trod one upon another, he began to say to his disciples: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed: nor hidden, that shall not be known. 3 For whatsoever things you have spoken in darkness, shall be published in the light: and that which you have spoken in the ear in the chambers, shall be preached on the housetops. 4 And I say to you, my friends: Be not afraid of them who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will shew you whom you shall fear: fear ye him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear him.

Soon, most of those who hate God won't even try to hide it anymore.

I believe, as these times get worse and people become much angrier, an alarming number of posters on Christian Chat will also become much angrier and then quietly leave Christian Chat or announce they are taking a break from Christian Chat. What do you think?

Most hardcore anti-theists have been perpetually angry for decades. The main reason it appears to be more prominent now, is that over the last 30 years the rise of the Internet has given everyone a platform, both good and bad.

Not really.

The popularity of Christianity in general waxes and wanes like the moon, although with a much longer periodicity. Right now it is on the wane. A lot of people who were Christian because it was popular are now drifting away because it's much harder to be a Christian and still be popular.

Those aren't the angry ones though.

The angry ones are those who make Christianity a point of pride, who try to make themselves appear better than others because they are Christian. Those are the really angry ones. They do in fact usually leave this forum in a huff, but only because they can't find enough people to agree that they are right about whatever particular point they have made as their ego boost.

But those people have been with us always, and it seems they always will be with us until Jesus returns. I have seen the popularity of Christianity wax and wane twice in my time, but the egotistical Christians have remained a constant.

I think that what Lynx said is pretty accurate and has been a constant in my lifetime too visiting many churches in many countries.
Also, good to see you again under this new username @Conformed .
