I'm not taking anything personal. I don't even live down there, however I feel compassion for the people who have lost loved ones and homes. I've gone through a crisis of losing my family and about to lose everything unless there's a miracle, so I can identify.
Bob, everyone you see is dealing with some struggle in their lives. Myself included. I don't like to share a lot because i'm a private person but my mother is dying from cancer.
How you deal with those struggles also shows your outward appearance.
Jesus said "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest". So when we're dealing with difficulties we need to make the best of it.
When i take my mom to the hospital, i see it as a day to the spa and i make the best of it and i try to make her laugh and joke about when i was a kid. Have some food, when she's able to eat and take her out when she's able for shopping, sight seeing etc.
I know that's easier said than done, but for me it's done at this point. Because (and i don't want to brag) i have been close to death and have seen death many times.
So i don't worry anymore. This is also why i haven't become an artist.
I hope and pray that God gives you a miracle and a sign!
In fact i ask daily for God to give a miracle to many people especially children. Because i had a fantastic idyllic childhood but some children suffer from the moment they're born.
So find strength in God who has given miracles to others and maybe He will give you a miracle too.
