No doubt "some" - as it is today; however, with regard to prophecy - remember that 'political' Israel and 'true' Israel are two different things - which one would you say Armageddon prophecy is referring to?

And, if you wish to insist that the answer is 'ancient' Israel - how does the prophecy of Zechariah fit into any point in time of the past?
I find tangents a challenge for my tired brain so let's just go with "some" so are the "some" genetically Jewish and connected to Jacob?

How much DNA is required to have that link and how can we know what that DNA is?

I just do not understand the fusion of what is a political situation to a biblical position unless a connection can be proven in some way.

@CarriePie, as my mom used to say, "sometimes it is laugh or cry, sometimes it is just best to laugh," no matter how preposterous the claim.

Glad you see it too!

Yes, indeed. "With wisdom comes much sorrow." I often shake my head at what I read and see. God bless you for being wise and strong! Thankfully the Lord blessed us with being able to find some humor in the middle of it all!

You are tired - that question was answered in the post you quoted.

How much DNA is required to have that link and how can we know what that DNA is?
Not sure this can help much - historical record probably has a better chance of making a link.

I just do not understand the fusion of what is a political situation to a biblical position unless a connection can be proven in some way.
The connection must be made between every-and-all of the detail of prophecy and that of historical events.

If it matches, it matches - if it does not, it does not.

Concerning Israel

28 As regards the gospel they are enemies of God, for your sake; but as regards election they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29 For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable

Maybe the time of Jacobs trouble already happened.
One only has to go about 3 or 4 generations back to find there might not be inheritance from an ancestor.
I guess Scofield and Darby did not know much about DNA... just sayin.
No the time of Jacobs trouble has not yet happened. Why? Because the Jews, as a corporate body, have not yet recognized Yeshua as their Messiah and called upon His Name for deliverance from the AC and his armies.

As for your DNA dilemma......prove it. You are going to have a tough time with that. More like impossible.

Gaza was the first time I held a baby’s brains in my hand. The first of many.
Dr. Mark Perlmutter, orthopedic and hand surgeon

Children are universally considered innocents in armed conflict. However, every single signatory to this letter saw children in Gaza who suffered violence that must have been deliberately directed at them.

Specifically, every one of us who worked in an emergency, intensive care, or surgical setting treated pre-teen children who were shot in the head or chest on a regular or even a daily basis. It is impossible that such widespread shooting of young children throughout Gaza, sustained over the course of an entire year is accidental or unknown to the highest Israeli civilian and military authorities.

Umm... I think your eschatology has the DNA dilemma, during the first century they were still a rather cohesive tribe/group.

Yes thankfully some did head for the hills the way Jesus instructed.

But just to clarify, if we are in the end times, you think the same people presently living in Israel will be converted, every single one of them?

This letter and the appendix show probative evidence that the human toll in Gaza since October is far higher than is understood in the United States.
It is likely that the death toll from this conflict is already greater than 118,908, an astonishing 5.4% of Gaza’s population.

I do find the historicist position confusing because it still requires matching headlines to scripture it seems.
Well, it doesn't really necessitate us looking for headlines because complete fulfillment means dwelling with The Living God on earth. It's true that (a) many passages have been fulfilled before we were even born. But we also know that (b) if The Almighty and His Son aren't here then more remains to be fulfilled because They are the end of prophecy. It was written that they're supposed to dwell with us on earth.

The historicist view of eschatology follows the understanding that The Almighty is sovereign and is executing His plan across ALL human history until They are here, not just up to 70 AD; and that the book of Revelation is the portion of that plan that covers from ascension of Messiah approx 2000 years ago to descension of Messiah when He comes to crush the nations and rule.

If preterism = All is fulfilled in 70 AD...

...and Futurism = All will be fulfilled sometime in the future...

Then Historicism = Some were fulfilled in 70 AD, some are being fulfilled in our lifetime, and the rest will be fulfilled sometime in the future.

Now beyond this foundation, you'll have historicists differing in eschatological interpretations as many do within other views..

I cannot see how Jesus did not fulfill all the promises made to Israel in the OT especially when reads the Book written to the Hebrews.
There are a few ways...

1.

Hebrews 8:8-12 references the promise made in Jeremiah 31:34 which includes:

- Putting His laws in their minds
- Writing His laws on their hearts
- Teaching/education about The Almighty will no longer be necessary because all will know Him (i.e., laws in heart & mind)
- Their sins will be forgiven and forgotten

Question: Is the bible taught today? Are there still seminaries and bible colleges? Are there weekly sermons and lessons preached? Must we still study the scriptures daily?

If the answer is "yes" then the complete fulfillment of the above promise hasn't happened yet. The Son has always known The Father and the law is already in His heart and mind. The promise is that His people will know Him so well they will not need to be taught about Him. The Messiah sacrificed Himself for sin but The Word/The Law hasn't been written on hearts yet not until the fulfillment of Ezekiel 36:27 when The Messiah covenants with the many when He returns.

Ezekiel 36:27
And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

When He came the first time He covenanted with the few as "firstfruits". The greater harvest waits for the second outpouring of His Spirit.

2.

Hebrews says that the Messiah is the mediator of this new covenant (i.e., He facilitates it as High Priest), but Israel and Judah were specifically promised to receive and experience it. Yet as a punishment for rejecting the Messiah, they were scattered and caused to forget who they were and worship false gods (i.e. false religions). So the new covenant was offered to Gentiles, but both passages say the recipients of this promise are Israel (northern house) and Judah (southern house).

3.

The writer of Hebrews 9 details how the first part of the ritual of Atonement (Leviticus 16) has been fulfilled in Messiah but never describes how the second part is fulfilled. Then Hebrews 9:27 describes two distinct works with a promise for the second work:

Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment, so also Christ [first work] was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but [second work] to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.

Christ was offered (past tense)...and He "will appear" (future tense) to bring...

I may have asked this but I could not find your response, so not sure, but who is natural Israel?
Natural Israel
- 10 tribes (who are not Jews because Jews are from Judah)
- 2 tribes (who are Jews and Bejaminites)

Scripture says they would be:
- Scattered
- Forget they are Israel
- Worship false gods (i.e., follow false religions)
- Poor
- Innumerable (Hosea 1:10) not small in number
- Would be gathered by Messiah from the following areas: Assyria, Egypt, Cush/Ethiopia, Elam, Shinar/Babylonia, Hamath, and the islands (Isaiah 11:11)

So there's a high probability that some (not all) of them are:
- Palestinians
- Iranians
- Iraqis
- Egyptians (Mizrahi Jews)
- Africans (Ethiopian Jews)
- Syrians
- Filipinos

Those who believe they are natural Israel are Gentiles and those who have been told they are the worst of Gentiles and enemies of God are natural Israel. In other words, the two groups are flipped.

Hosea 1:10
Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them, ‘Ye are not My people,’ there it shall be said unto them, ‘Ye are the sons of the living God.’

Are the people located there direct descendants of ancient Israel?
Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

This parable is only in Matthew. Yes, it can be spiritualized, that is fine. But from a natural standpoint it is referring to the nation of Israel and people claiming to be "Israel" or "Jews".

For example the Rothschilds are not Jews, they are Edomites.

We know this is the case because when Israel is saved and Jesus steps down and splits the mountain only one third are saved.

Two things happening here-wheat which are both Jews and Gentiles being taken to the barn Heaven and the Tares thrown into the fire

Speaks of only one coming

The Reapers are angels

You see the same thing in Revelations 14--speaks again a two-fold prophecy and again the angels are called Reapers

Yes, spiritually that is how it is understood. But when you compare the synoptic gospels it is clear that Matthew is specifically for the nation of Israel, Mark for the left behind saints and Luke for those that are raptured before the hour of trial. From that angle it has special meaning for Israel and those that call themselves Jews and lie.

I appreciate the breakdown and expounding on this view, I do see where the descendants of the Israelites who lived in the land in the first century could be those you listed, it is rather ironic.

However, Jesus spoke of the end of the age and I do believe the age did end in the first century with the destruction of the Temple, the new age is without end as Jesus stated and He rules from Heaven, probably the only place I agree with Cameron on anything, although I see no evidence for the Kingdom expanding/growing on earth, I think it will always be cyclical because sin, the flesh and demons will always be present,
I follow the words of Jesus, Earth is a temporary abode for all of us and His kingdom is not of this earth.
It seems that historicism is still connected to dispensationalism in that God has not fulfilled all His promises, I do not believe He still has a chosen people, to me scripture is clear Jesus fulfilled all of the OT promises and the need for a lineage to prove He was the awaited Messiah has been fulfilled and done.
Thank you for the info, I do find it interesting, more interesting than pure futurism which to me has caused a lot of this modern day mess.

The Jerusalem Post published an article with the following title:

IDF knew of Hamas's plan to kidnap 250 before October 7 attack - report

Apparently, the IOF's intelligence arm circulated an internal document with detailed info about the pending attack and hostage-taking that went to top officials. The document was called "Detailed End-to-End Raid Training," and was circulated on September 19, 2023, uncoincidentally the very week IOF soldiers shot at a bunch of peaceful protestors and children with sniper rifles.

So they were acutely aware that Hamas was planning retaliation. The document even details the IOF monitoring Hamas exercises and taking notes of each phase of the plan.

So...there's that...

So we have two options: either (a) the IOF is incompetent and cocky, unable to "defend" themselves even when they had every step of their enemy's plan...or (b) they purposely allowed it to happen to justify the genocide we've witnessed for an entire year so just they can cleanse Gaza of Arabs.

Considering all the evidence that's been uncovered about The State of Israel, I'm leaning towards the latter.

Yes I think the evidence is mounting put out by
investigative journalists who uncovering a lot of truth (those who are not killed by sniper bullets that is) there were many lies told surrounding the events prior, on and afterwards, and continue to be told to manufacture consent for the final phases of the land grab.

It has been confirmed as well the Hannibal Directive was employed.

The TikTok videos of the IDF cheering and partying as the bomb are dropped in the background is also sickening.
There is also some evidence I have not followed up on it yet that the green light was given by the USA to bomb the aid trucks.

So glad you are able to judge other people so freely and call them "rubbish" yes this is the epitome of Christian love.
I did not read a reference to his ideas as rubbish ... but to him.

His ideas were rubbish, his hatred was rubbish. Where was he showing Christian love. That's not a question, get a grip. They were here to stir up hatred.
