If you're under a lot of stress or are experiencing things like anxiety or depression, or recently exp erienced some kind of trauma or have a condition like PTSD, forgetfulness often occurs with those. It can also just be from being distracted. I'm not an expert, just saying what I've learned about it because I often experience it myself.

I had this great idea for a thread but I completely forgot what I was thinking about.

Do any of you ever experience that you forget about things you just were thinking about?

Is this early onset dementia?

Why isn’t there a a forum for us senior members?
start on a daily diet of blueberries, fish & spinach, all proven brain foods. but if your diet consists of refined sugar, white flour, preservatives, additives, fillers, fertilizers & chemicals, you won't get the full results.

I am thinking - anyone with that list (as a lifestyle choice) would probably get minimal or no results...

Yup.

I'll go to the tool room to get a tool but forget which tool I went for. I may end up in the parts room trying to figure out what I went there for. Haha.

I don't know, but I'm fighting dementia, by not putting on underarm deodorant. A couple of sniffs and instantly your mind resets and are fully aware of the objectives of the day.

if you were somewhere else when you originally thought about the thread, go back to that area & retrace. think of the last thought you thought when you realized you forgot & go back thought by thought. use shape, color & objects to assist you. supplemental: eat b blueberries, fish & spinach to enhance memory.
