Hey Everyone,
I was in a store recently and saw a display for an Oldie But Goodie from my childhood -- Monster Cereals!
My Mom has always been health conscious, but every now and then we would convince her to buy something fun, colorful, and completely devoid of any nutrition. Monster Cereals happened to one of our major victories at the morning table, with Boo Berry being my favorite because it was so unique (how many other artificially flavored blueberry cereals have YOU tried?!)
Another favorite blast from the past was good old Smurf Berry Crunch, and let's just say, we unwittingly discovered that the food coloring in this cereal (particularly the blue) stays with you, uh, the whole way through (my Mom still jokes about that to this day.)
And, for those who remember the days when The A-Team dominated weekly television, who could forget that Mr. T had his very own cereal!
Every now and then, I like to take a look all the modern-day renditions, usually in the form of Disney, Marvel, or Pokemon "cereals" -- and, just for old times, I might even pick up a box of Fruity Pebbles as a treat.
How about you?
* What are some favorite fun cereals you liked as a kid, and maybe even still pick up now?
* What cereals do your kids or other family members ask for -- and do you give in and buy them?
* What cereals do you miss and wish would come back, and what are some you hope to never see again?
