8 Woes to the Apostate church filled with Hypocrites
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Righteous judgement is that as you have done it will be done unto you. So then think about those that the Lord will not suffer to enter into the wedding feast. They said "didn't we do this" and "didn't we do that" in your name and the Lord said to depart from Him because He didn't know them. That is the reason they reject many who would serve the Lord. They are not concerned if they know the Lord, their only concern is if they know this person. They don't care if they are obedient to the Lord, the question is if they are obedient to these ones. So then this first woe refers to the rapture when these ones will be prohibited from entering and will instead be cast out into outer darkness. The rapture will reveal all the Christians who have been wearing a mask. What better day to be cast into outer darkness than Halloween.
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
After the rapture all the people who are left behind will know they were deceived by these pastors and so their houses will be devoured. Some will be slain immediately like the prophets of Baal that Elijah slew.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Jesus was betrayed by a "child of hell", Judas. These ones have made proselytes into children of hell. So it is fitting that they too would be betrayed by the proselytes they have made.
16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
They think that the temple (the house of God) and the altar (the cross of Christ) are nothing and that the gold and the gifts those are everything. So then, they will have gold and gifts when they are nothing. Meanwhile they will be shown to be fools and blind because during the tribulation there will be a great outpouring of the Spirit on the Body of Christ, and on those who have put their faith in the cross of Christ.
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
During the tribulation they will realize they have swallowed the camel, they have omitted the weightier matters and now the Antichrist is in power demanding worship or else you get your head chopped off. They have behaved foolishly and according to Proverbs when an otherwise wise counselor behaves foolishly it is like a fly in the ointment. Only with these ones foolishness it will be a camel in the ointment.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Think about a Catholic church that outwardly is very holy, very sanctified, very clean. But within you have members of organized crime, you have pedophile priests, the leaders of the church are involved in fornication and profit from extortion. So then during the tribulation it will be the same judgment. The people in charge will claim to be holier than thou, but behind the curtain it will be extortion and excess.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
They will claim everything is safe and effective, but behind the curtain there will be millions of dead people. Think about Auschwitz, they didn't broadcast what was going on there on the nightly news. People did not see the full extent of the horror until after the war.
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
As long as you take this attitude you can't escape hell. The only way is to repent, turn to the Lord and be washed in His blood.
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
The Lord searches the hearts, but He judges you based on your deeds. Don't fear Satan, he is simply a pawn, he is there as a test from God to see if you fear God, obey the Lord, or if you will fear and obey Satan.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
What happened in 70 AD to the Jews is a warning to us in the Church and a preview of what will happen at the end of the age.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
We are all made from the same block of cheese. Those that repent and say "Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord" come from the same block of cheese that all the hypocrites are in. You have hypocrites and then you have repentant hypocrites washed in the blood of Jesus.
