The church does NOT have authority over the scriptures....
The scriptures have authority over the Church.
Hopefully we can agree to this.
So the resulting logic is that we do not concern ourselves with the plans God has for us on an individual basis....
We concern ourselves with what God's plans are and conform ourselves to those plans.
And it's very very apparent that God had deemed that new modern translations were to exist and be prolific. They have been coming along steadily now for 500+ years without relenting.
