For myself, anything with a good story. A video game with a great story is like a book that you can walk around in and explore all the side stories (or not) as you will.

For parties, something that's not 3D. I know, I know, all the great party games are full 3D these days. But it gives some people motion sickness and they can't join in the fun.

I agree a great story is what makes it that more enjoyable like final fantasy series has been one of my favorite RPGs that and legend of the dragoon the story is what makes those games awesome

Legend of Dragoon... That was an interesting one.

The battle system was initially interesting, and every time a character unlocked a new skill it was neat to get the timing down for each beat, but after a few battles it got really old really fast.

I remember eventually I dropped back to Burning Rush just to get through the battles with as little tedium as possible.

Fun topics: whats your favorite game board, card, or videogame ?

a PC Video Game!

A classic mmorpg anime-toon styled 3.5D PC game that is now only hosted on a private server, it's called Xen Rebirth, from it's previous versions Secret of the Solstice, Xenpic, Xen Online. The game has went through transitions in the development team lately, so at the moment player base is small, but it has fair activity most mornings.

Don't mind the game title, it has nothing to do with "zen" topics. The game just has a red gemstone item that the original game company called a Xen Stone, it is used for boosting character gears. It is a fun game with enjoyable retro graphics.

Oh boy, there are so many good ones.

Board Game: Monopoly was my favorite as a kid. Too many to decide now but Scrabble is pretty high on the list.

Card Game: Been playing a lot of Skip-Bo lately. Also noteworthy, I love the solitaire game my mom taught me she calls Michigan. No one else seems to have heard of it, though, which is too bad because it would be a heck of a lot easier to have a virtual version than to physically lay out 52 cards three times and try to reach them all.

Video Game: Civilization. Plus I recently learned that one version's really awesome theme song is actually the Lord's Prayer in Swahili. I played way too much of it in my 20's, though. I have enjoyed Zelda and Fable too but they are just too full of false religion and impurity. In truth the ickiness of the presentation of institutional religion in Fable might be more true to life than we want to think. The Sims used to be good but went off the rails morally to the point that it is now unplayable. Back far enough I liked Lock'n Chase on the Intellivision. Really though, these days I don't actually play any real video games unless my nieces or nephew invite me to join them.
