Here's the thing. The US is a secular nation that is populated by a lot of religious people of all different stripes. Not just Christians or any particular variety of Christianity. This is how the founders intended it. Words like God, In God We Trust, One Nation under God, God Bless America, etc. in no way, shape or form means the US is a Christian nation.

I've heard people falsely claim that the founders said the constitution can only work for a Christian people; but this is just straight up wrong. John Adams said: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." It doesn't say anything about the Christian faith.

The idea that the US was founded as a Christian nation is frankly delusional. I truly hope the Lord will help people who have bought into this lie. They're doing themselves and the whole country a great disservice.

Well you certainly don't want to be an anti-Christian nation seeing as all those get cursed right here on Earth as God himself smites them for that and makes of them an open shame rendering out his great and glorious judgment, and then they even get the bonus prize of eternal suffering and damnation.

Not if you want to be objective about this. And not as a "Christian Nation" but based on solid Christian principles.

The first "Europeans" to arrive at the shores of continental USA were genuine Christians. The Puritans who followed them were also solid genuine Christians. So these Christians had an impact right at the beginning. Many who followed them were also Christians (and many were not). Many of the Founding Fathers were also Christians. Even those who were Deists or Masons reverenced the Bible. They spoke of the Creator and His blessings in their founding documents. One of George Washington's prayers at Thanksgiving is remarkable for its Christianity.

Thus the fundamental Christian principles are enshrined in the Constitution. Liberty and justice for all is Christian to the core. Hear the words of Christ as applied to Himself (Luke 4:18.19): The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Of course this has a spiritual application primarily, but that does not preclude a practical application. Therefor the Pledge of Allegiance says this: “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all" This is enshrined in the US Code, USC 4.

So why have you ignored all this? Objectivity demands that you look at the whole picture, not through Leftist spectacles. If Christian principles govern a nation, then for all intents and purposes it means that the USA is supposed to be governed on that basis. Just because the Communists have hijacked America does not mean that its history is now invalid.

And they're being deceived into turning away from God's truths while doing it.

What truth would that be?
Many "Christian nationalists" like to back the right because they're against abortion. But to do so, they have to turn a blind eye to many other Christian truths/mores like denouncing mammon worship, not cheating workers, not abandoning the poor, sick and foreign, not being self idolaters, not embracing lies and hypocrisies, and not hating your enemies. They also overlook Jesus' teaching that the things of Caesar are Caesar's and the things of God are God's, and 2 Timothy 2:3 which tells us as soldiers of Christ we are not to get involved in civilian affairs. They are also looking for a worldly leader to enforce spiritual ways ( I never heard of Jesus petitioning Rome to codify His teachings). And they ignore what came out of the Jews cries for kings to rule over them. Their champion trump and his minions hold the carrot of abortion in front of them to draw them away from all these other things.

Absolutely agree with this and much appreciated.

I do understand your position. Baffling really but then not really because once again they prefer acceptance from the group mind think than spending the hours learning for themselves how really incompetent Trump was both domestically and on foreign policy.

Abortion is just a smokescreen really; a way to bring in unsuspecting Christians. The real issue they don't like people knowing about is racism. Since the Donald came down the escalator, all he's talked about is the illegal "vermin" who are "destroying our country." Just replace vermin with anyone who isn't a WASP and there you have it.

I don't think it matters whether there is Christian Nationalism or not. God already told us in the Bible that the antichrist will get the smack-down in just only 3-1/2 years after he's fully revealed and starts killing us Christians. It will be God Himself and not anyone else who will humiliate and destroy the antichrist, his minions and all who oppose God. NOT Christian Nationalism.

So why even worry about this?

I mean even in my own area, no Christian really talks about this. There are more important things to focus on.

A lot of American Christians feel like Christianity is supposed to be privileged above any other Faith or ideology which is not constitutional
It's not biblical because nowhere in the Bible does it say that Christianity is to be enforced by law

It's just not something we need to worry about. It's not in the Bible so I don't think it would ever come about if God doesn't will it into being.

The Bible is so clear. It's the Lord Jesus Himself that will destroy satan, the antichrist, the false prophet and their one-world government. It never mentions Christians before He returns being able to do that.

As a matter of fact, the Bible says the antichrist will conquer us (not our salvation though, just physical matters):

Revelation 13:7 It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.

The Bible basically says that Christians should endure to the end. I think it says that to focus us on Him by making it simple for us. To be sure, Jesus will have specific instructions for each of us on how we can continue to live for Him and obey Him during that particularly dangerous time, but mainly we must endure to the end.
