My neighbor has feral cats that I'll not shed a tear for.
We used to live on a street with feral cats. Ruined my garden. Would poop in front of our front door out of spite. Our street reeked of cat pee. Definitely wouldn't have minded if they fed a family or 10.

Same here. I have a shady yard. Lots of birds stay in my yard. I feed them every morning. One my nearest neighbor's cats come down here eyeing my birds.

I had 3 generations of Cardinals nesting in my trees. I never had so many at once. The cats had kittens and wiped 6 Red Birds all out.

I never got a tick from my yard until this happened.

I know what you mean. For a long time I was greeted with the cat pee smell every time I got home.

I am so sorry to hear this! My problem isn't nearly as bad. I still have a lot of cardinals and many other birds. I used to have more of a problem, but it seems like since the gaze of Fuzz Butts (that's what I call raccoons) started staying here the cats don't venture down here as often. The Fuzz Butts sleep in the day, so I still see cats sneaking around sometimes. But, it does seem like they don't sneak around as much and they are a lot more careful when they do. I feel like I live in a bird sanctuary. Being with the birds is heavenly to me, so I'm not too happy about cats eating them.

That's a blessing. I literally live in a bird sanctuary. Every time I left the house after replacing my signs, the cat lady would tear them down and throw refuse in my yard. I've had words with her and other neighbors. I should start praying again that she would be replaced with a better neighbor.

You literally live in a bird sanctuary? That's the life! Except for the terrible neighbor  Yikes!
It's been a great year for bird watching here in my yard. I've had vultures visiting my yard this year. Very neat. And Mississippi Kites too. Also, a pileated woodpecker. Plus all the various songbirds that migrate through, etc.
Anyway, forgive me, I'll be going on endlessly about birds (similar to spiders lol).
I do hope your sanctuary will soon be a peaceful haven again!!

I've kinda thought the same. As long as it's not anyone's pet, why not eat cats or dogs or horses? Meat is meat.
I thought the reason people have been complaining is that it is people's pets being eaten? Or ducks and birds from the local park, which are often pretty tame. Can't see that people would complain over ferals, as its doing everyone a service, and like you say, meat is meat - or at least, one man's sacred cow is another man's steak...
