He was specifically asked if this would be door to door and if the national guard would be involved, and he said "yeah" and added in that local police would be involved as well. I quoted from the debate directly. No sense in denying it.
I mean, how else do you think that would work? When they show up at people's houses, do you think they're just going to take everyone's word for it when they say "Nope, no illegal immigrants here"? Is that how you really think law enforcement works?

The reason I asked were you familiar with law enforcement is because you don't seem familiar with their procedures. It's called policing. Law enforcement personnel are in the community. They see and hear things and respond accordingly. Where large numbers of people are who do not speak English or are breaking laws, they will know. They can then investigate and see what ought to be done. The majority of this can be done locally without any help, and illegals can be detained and turned over to ICE.
Where local law enforcement finds those who resist, there may be need to bring in larger forces and greater firepower. This is what Trump is referring to.
