You have to contact an admin, then there is a small fee. The name does not change, they simply deactivate your account and start a new one. So everything you've done up to this point will be gone. The posts/likes/etc will still exist on the site, but all mails you've received, likes or rep you've received, will be gone.
Creating a new name without paying can be a bannable offense.

For the record, the fee is primarily to discourage name change because in the past some users would change their username more often than their underwear. When this happens it becomes difficult for the Mods/Admin to keep track of who is (or was) who.

why would you cal an Administrator a creeper? They can can ban you smart one.How would YOU know that? Creeper.
Because he knows that I (the person the comment was directed at) would take the comment as the good humored smart aleck comment that it was (coming from him).
His join date can be rather deceptive since he has been a member around here for a long time, he just took a break for a while and recently returned.

I [like to] think that I have relatively good repute with the CC staff that know me, so with that, they (hopefully) likely take my smart aleck comments as nothing more than friendly banter.
I like Oncefallen, and even if I didn't, I wouldn't go so far as to insult anyone here intentionally, Administrator or not.

Really annoys me when
a) people tell me i need to change my name
b) people don't first ask why i picked it
c) people give me the 'no child of God is ugly' speech... because they haven't asked me about it first
Facts are better than presuming.
This is actually my old account. I think it was about 2018 when I changed. This post is from 2015.
The name was largely picked to be funny. Seemed out of place on a Christian site and that have me a chuckle. I think I chose the word ugly because it was a song title to a song I enjoyed.
ohh. I am glad I picked a decent name when I started this account. I started it and others on other sites during a bout of depression.
I was fine with the name when I changed. Just got a little bored of it. And was going through a lot at the time.
