I'm not worried about it, nor convinced in even the slightest. If there was such a thing, God would be speaking of it. He isn't. The only exception is that there are angels, fallen and otherwise. But fallen angels can't appear as humans, and faithful angels can but only under special circumstances and then they are gone when their divine purpose is finished.

Sure. There are demons, evil spirits, principalities and powers and the wicked rulers of darkness of this age. They conceal themselves in the souls of men and manipulate them to oppose God, His Kingdom and His people.

Some people are deceived by these wicked powers. Some deliberately become Satan's puppets in order to receive Satan's power in this life. I know of one such man who infiltrated my church about 45 years ago. He called himself "The Prophet" and started secret meetings. Someone I knew went to a meeting. The Lord told him to plead the blood of Jesus. The self-styled prophet began to shout and carry on. He confessed to being a fraud and that Satan had promised him the earth.

How often do you hear of "guru" types who rip off their disciples and abuse the women they lure to their group? They are Satan's tools, a counterpart to those who work in God's kingdom. Avoid them like the plague.

Devils have always lived amongst men and women. They use people like the new ager you mentioned and example @Subhumanoidal gave to deceive those they influence. They have all kinds of influencers. They are able to discredit truth while appealing to those in the so called truther movement who have in part rejected God's Word. For example there are many cancer treatments that have been discovered, but the devil associates certain of his New Age people with them to discredit them. Then he makes sure others get that which his evil minions who practice pharmakea dispense. He has come to lie, kill and destroy through every area of influence, replacing God given health with drugs, God's justice with man's politics, food with chemicals, truth wealth with usery and massive theft, and Bible based Christianity with man's religion.

I dealt with others about that yesterday who rejected the Bible on this Christian forum. I have people in my small circle of local friends who have been caught off guard and deceived by satanic" truthers " over the years. You'd think they might be stupid for following such stupid, wicked people like David Icke, Parkes, Bill Cooper, Anna VonReitz, etc. The fact is that these spiritually dead losers, con men and charletons appeal to those who have not trusted Christ as their Savior and/ or have decided to not spend time in the Bible (reading or listening to proper preaching.) That is the unfortunate consequences of rejecting God's ways for man's and the devils.

What we should do is mark and avoid such influencers. We must also expose them for who they are so those who are deceived will perhaps repent of the lies they've been misled by.

My view of this is that it's all real. As in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man. The bible tells us about Nephilim and fallen angels and the like, and Satan in the garden is even described as a serpent. So if demons can somehow manifest or exist in the physical realm as reptilians or similar, it wouldn't greatly surprise me.

That people say it would require a rewrite of the bible is - in my opinion - only because they've been listening to Christians who don't believe the bible when it speaks about these events. Perhaps also the aim of these "revelations" is to cause a great deception, also spoken of in the bible.

With that early impressionable teaching, and reinforcement of a particular view of dispensationalism by some heavy hitters in my evangelical circle, I had particular dogmatic points of view. I jumped around to the verses shown here as proof texts and others. I memorized the "facts", just as I was told to growing up in public schools. However, each time I read the Bible through, I learned things that I was taught by the Holy Spirit that went against my way of thinking. Keeping an open mind, and pleading for insight while reading, eventually I repented/ changed my mind on a number of doctrines.

This is why it doesn't usually bother me with disagreements. I'm still learning. Some things I keep in mind that help are:

1. Use the rules of Bible interpretation.
2. Take a literal view of every passage unless there's good reason not to do so.
3. Build upon what is known, rather than trying to fill in the gaps with dogmatic speculation.
4. Interpret more difficult passages, keeping in mind the fundamentals. The fundamentals are established primary doctrines. The new things take a back seat regardless of how much I want to be convinced.
