Hello Ted,
We know that with Our heavenly Father, all things are possible. '8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.' this verse I have never applied it to creation but in his ability to hear every person's prayer.
After all, isn't he the God that even numbers the hair on our heads?
"But any children are not mentioned when they were put out of the garden."
Yes, this is another dispute between theologians. God said to Eve to be fruitful and multiply. I personally have a hard time believing that she only gave birth to a total of seven children. And like you said, it does not mention her having children in the Garden of Eden. However, it does say that after Cain killed Abel. Cains wife gave birth to a son. The Bible does not mention the Wife of Cain or Seth being born or when that took place
the Bible says, ", And Adam knew Eve, his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD." As if Eve had never given birth before. Now, I have heard theologians argue that this is because, in the garden, Eve was unknowing more like a bird or a lamb. For they do not consider the comings and goings, either, the rights and wrongs. It is made straight by the Lord and thus it stays that way.
"Personally, I believe that the time spent in the garden was fairly short lived. this based on Satan's desire to seduce Adam and Eve would likely have started shortly after they were created."
Now, this is sound reasoning. I agree with you. The prideful Lucifer would have hated being cast down and stuck on a tree. He must have been trying his hardest to entice Eve to eat that apple.
God bless,
Daisy
