I was trying to understand the purpose of life. Why am I here? How should I live?
Jesus told me that He could show me the answer to those questions.
He persuaded me that He is the living Saviour and King who can lead me, and can teach me through the Bible/scriptures. So I started trusting Him to do that. God reckoned my faith as righteousness and gave me a new spirit in which the Holy Spirit came to abide with me and They will guide me into ALL truth... eventually.
But Rom 10:11 doesn't teach how people come to believe in him. And the "how" always involves the Word and the Spirit.

Scripture says we were justified by faith.Wasn't justification accomplished at the cross? If your only objection is justification, you have no problem. All the sins ever paid for happened 2000 years ago.
Right, he was declared righteous at the exercise of his faith. He was made righteous when his sins were paid for.Scripture says we were justified by faith.
Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.
Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Galatians 2:16
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
Galatians 3:24
Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
So yeah I have a huge issue with anyone who claims we are made alive while not yet justified, or declared righteous. as Abraham was though his faith.
What does this have to do with the heresy of people saying God makes people alive you have not been justified from their sin yet?Right, he was declared righteous at the exercise of his faith. He was made righteous when his sins were paid for.
Jesus is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Because what God purposes always comes to pass, God can not only declare someone righteous, He can make them righteous at any time.
Were OT saints indwelt by the Holy Spirit? If not, they didn't belong to Christ. I wonder how Abraham saw Jesus day and rejoiced in seeing it. What do you think that was all about?

You don't understand the difference between being declared something and actually being made that thing. What does this have to do with the heresy of people saying God makes people alive you have not been justified from their sin yet?
Even Jesus said we must be born again. And this is accomplished by a person trusting Christ enough to look at the cross. as the people Of Israel looked to the serpent.
I will be honest. I do not know what point you are trying to make
They can't belong to Christ without the indwelling of the Spirit...Romans 8. Simply because God didn't reveal this until the NT doesn't negate its truth. From what I understand, no one was ever born of the Spirit of God until after the resurrection of Jesus. Holy Spirit visited, never lived in anyone until after the Lamb took away all sin of the world first, in his Father's sight for us the people here today, and those to come as well as those that came here after his done work for us the people.
The ones prior to Jesus and those here on earth during Jesus's time here on earth, never were ever indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God. Only visited upon, not indwell as are today indwell by God's approval after the resurrection of Son first my Lord unto his Lord, I stand in trust and thankfulness, I need God not me at all
Nope.
God is a perfect judge, His love can not overrule his justice.
His justice demand a penalty for sin, that penalty is death.
He can not make you alive while you are still under the penalty of sin.. it must be justified..
Actually, this has always been true. Jesus is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. But Justice has already been served on behalf of all God's elect at the Cross of Christ, so God is free to have mercy and compassion on whom He wills (Rom 9:15).
Because you believe it is perfectly sane to think you raised yourself from death. Yeah, we get it...

You don't understand the difference between being declared something and actually being made that thing.
When someone gets saved they have become a member of the body of Christ. When they get baptized, they are declared a member of the body. One confirms the reality of the other. You must be a thing in order to be declared a thing.
David was always going to be king. That was predetermined by God. And he became the king before his coronation. At his coronation, he was declared to be king.
Well thanks for your opinion. But I understand quite well. You don't understand the difference between being declared something and actually being made that thing.
I was saved through my baptism of the Holy SPirit. I was justified by faith, and when the HS baptized me into christ, his blood cleansed me of all sinWhen someone gets saved they have become a member of the body of Christ. When they get baptized, they are declared a member of the body. One confirms the reality of the other. You must be a thing in order to be declared a thing.
Your still dead in your sin until you are justified.David was always going to be king. That was predetermined by God. And he became the king before his coronation. At his coronation, he was declared to be king.
