Bro, the days of vengeance had to be fulfilled,
“Bro, the days of vengeance had to be fulfilled, because they were a part of what was written”
This is about what happened after Jesus came not before it’s about the same things he speaks of in Matthew 24-25 mark 13 ( I think ) and many other places
.
“
Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and
prophesy against them, and say, Ye mountains of
Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys;
Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places. And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols. And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars. In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD. Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries. And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.”
Ezekiel 6:2-10
think it through and then read what Jesus was telling
his generetion was about to happen to them in judea and Jerusalem and the surrounding areas …..then realize rome carried it all out even through the Jewish dispersia which left them desolate
I don’t know brother it’s not worth arguing I believe we’re in a New Testament and the old is why Israel has been desolate for the past two thousand years but be he church is still somewhat alive in some
I believe we should be looking into what corresponds to Jesus second coming to gather those
in Christ the church
and not corresponding to what he told Israel’s saints in the covenant before Jesus came forth. Because I believe they are two separate testimonies promising two seperate things and one is fulfilled a curse because of sin the other a blessing because of faith
But brother I’m just a guy in a forum with thoughts and opinions I don’t speak from authority or thinking it can only be what I think . It’s okay if we don’t agree with me anyways.
The law and prophets had been written promising the kingdom of God would come to israel . Before Jesus and John came forth that the last of the prophets promised with a new covenant
But they rejected it when he came
like he said they would and crucified thier king the messiah just like he said they would . And because of this he destroyed them and left the land desolate just like he said he would and he scattered the remnant that believed into the world carrying the gospel , just like he said he would in the prophets and the law itself where the curses all begin for then who broke his covenant
thats my point the old testement , is a
prophecy of the new and Jerusalems desolation was fulfilled in 70 ad and the people were scattered into all nations exactly as the law and then prophets said they would be.
thats all been fulfilled Jesus generetion fulfilled it
just like he said would happen
that’s why I keep quoting the things from scripture like this
“And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judæa flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”
Luke 21:20-22 KJV
then to save length here skip down to
Jesus explaining this part
“Verily I say unto you,
This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.”
Luke 21:32
now what happened the next fourty years or so after he said that to judea and Jerusalem ?
it’s better to learn from the Bible than to
now …..this is what Jesus said to Jerusalem when he was among them before they crucified him
“O
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”
Matthew 23:37-38 KJV
He explained really in several places tbat this was going to happen
in tbier generation because they had rejected him look at this parable for example
“And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our's. And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
What shall therefore the Lord of the vineyard do?
he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.”
Mark 12:1-9 KJV
That tells us about israel and the Old Testament and how the rejection of messiah was the final straw when they rejected Jesus and the gospel God sent the invitation out to everyone else and destroyed thier inheritance offering the better one in the gospel to all through Christ who they rejected now anyone can be saved
“The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, and sent forth his servants to
call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But
they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: and the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
But when
the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
Then saith he to his servants,
The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. ( Go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone whoever believes shall be saved )
So
those servants went out into the highways, ( the anpostles annd servants of the early church ) and
gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.”( everyone that believes the gospel sent forth from jesrualem that day herring salvstion and the hope of all Men )
Matthew 22:2-10 KJV
the Old Testament prophecies are bout israel and thier specific esrthly covenant with God it could have been a blessing or a curse they chose the curse and desolation when they rejected the gospel which was thier rightful inheritance
the
new testement prophecy is yet to be fulfilled like this concerning of
jesus second coming as each testament concludes with the coming of the messiah
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV
arhats what we look forward to now not Israel’s esrthly promises in the Old Testament that’s been fulfilled is my point they rejected the kingdom and we’re destroyed but can still individually repent and accept Jesus no matter who we are flesh wise
