Well to be fair, President Biden asked the Republican House for additional funds to increase the number of agents at the border, for increased surveillance technology, for more detention facilities, and other resources.
House Republicans denied those requests.
Then President Biden worked with Senate Republicans to develop the bipartisan immigration reform bill that would have severely rolled back the asylum system, sped up deportations, and added lots of new agents at the border. The Republican House refused to even allow it to come to a vote under orders from Trump, who even said we should blame him for it.
After that, President Biden issued his executive order and effectively closed the border.
All of that is something, right?
