Trump is touted as the first President to have no previous political office nor experience. But I suspect that his observation of the Obama phenomena stirred and encouraged him to action. That is, he noticed a sword (using this as a representation of power) swinging wildly and realized he'd been equipped exactly for such a time as this.

I tend to think of Trump as more of a blunt instrument. He may well be a leader for such a time as this, but I doubt he has the wisdom to recognize it beyond a self-serving way.

I do see how that can be adopted as a more accurate assessment. If he were a character living in the realm of Middle Earth, he'd be the battleaxe wielding dwarf rather than elvish.

Maybe you’re right, someone said that the only way he could threaten democracy was that congress would have to change the 22 amendment😉 So maybe things will be ok as far as that part goes.🙂

I would wonder though,who would remove him If he were to decide against a peaceful transfer of power?

I would like to think that 100% of the population, including his own supporters, would want Trump to not fight to be president for more than his 2 terms. We are a nation of laws and as Christians, we are commanded to be subject to them.

Do I think many of his supporters would approve of Trump trying to stay president after his 2nd term? Absolutely. I'm sure some are on this forum even. I just personally think they will be in the minority.

Let's say Trump is Christian as he says - albeit he could say so more clearly at times. IMO he's an immature Christian to whatever degree. I think it's clear from Scripture that the adversary works to prevent conversions and when one takes place, works to prevent abiding, enduring growth to maturity.

Some of the names of those advising Trump have concerned me from day one. A spiritually young Christian has not enough awareness of the mess that professes to be the Body of Christ. Who knows what he knows... From listening to Don Jr. just a bit, it does seem the family has had their surprised eyes opened to how deep-seated and evil is the rot in the US Gov't and what they will do to advance the rot.

Biden just said there wouldn't be a peaceful transition if Trump wins. Why have you not called him out?
