Some Christians reject the notion that Israel has a place in God's purpose in this day and age. They have reasons, of course, but those reasons are specious. I won't go into all the reasons to justify my statement. I will simply point out that one name of the risen Jesus, who now rules and reigns in glory, is "The Lion of the Tribe of Judah". (Revelation 5:5). It is the name "Judah" that is the origin of the name, "Jew". The new city of God is the "New Jerusalem" (Revelation 3:12 and Revelation 21:2)

The name of the city of God in the new heavens and new earth is Jerusalem. It is not Washington, New York or even London. We do well to remember this even if we don't agree with Israel's policies and actions in the Middle East.

If you want to see the consequences of turning away from Israel and supporting her enemies, look no further than Britain. It's a shadow of the nation that once ruled most of the world. Now it can't even rule itself, presently beset by riots, with a broken economy and flooded with illegal migrants.

I'm English by birth and I've never changed my citizenship. That was because being able to travel freely throughout the EU was an advantage in my work. I'm retired now and Britain has left the EU. If it was not so difficult, I'd drop my British citizenship in a heartbeat.

This is not about just "some Christians". Replacement Theology began with Augustine, who replaced Israel with the Church. The Reformers followed suit, and a large segment of Christendom went along with this idea. Had they all simply made a careful study of the distinction between the Church and redeemed and restored Israel, they would have discovered that God was never "done" with Israel.

But the nation of Israel as it exists today is not the same Israel that will be in the future (after the Second Coming of Christ). And this also needs to be kept in mind.

Which Israel? The one in the bible, or the one the Rothschilds created? The biblical Israel's main purpose was the birth of the saviour, Jesus Christ, through whom all of God's people are saved.

The Rothschilds' state of Israel was created, in my view, to get Christians who don't rightly divide the word of truth to join with devil worshipers on a satanic agenda. Don't be fooled.

Sure. And the church will be very different also. There are many Christians who do support Israel, acknowledged by Netanyahu. It irks me that Israel is held to a standard that no other nation would accept. It seems that the world wants Israel to be a punching bag for Muslims who will only be satisfied when Israel ceases to exist. It's a miracle that Israel was restored in the first place and the continual miracles ensure that it has survived and flourished to this day. God has only raised an eyebrow against His enemies. They've seen nothing yet!

I wonder it the Jewish Rabbis and people who were besides themselves in sadness, frustration and anger because of this movement in the early 1900's were antisemitic too?

I'm English. I was born 6 years after the end of WW2. Much of Britain was still suffering from the destruction caused by the war. The British sold out Israel to pander to Arab interests, even to the point of restricting immigration to Israel. Britain was once great. It's pretty pathetic now. The "dark satanic mills" are the Minarets of mosques. It's more likely that Mecca will be built there than Jerusalem. My parents did me a great favour by leaving in the 60's.
