If 62% of the $100 million were in $1 donations it would mean that 62 million people all rushed to donate. That would be the headline. They would have made sure everyone knew that because people who donate to a candidate will vote for that candidate.
So I agree with you that $1 or $5 or $10 is a very small amount to most people, what is significant to the big donors is they assume 10:1. For everyone who donates money there are 9 others that will vote the same way. So you can be sure if it were 62 million people or even 6 million that had come forth to donate for the first time that would be the headline. In fact in many campaigns it is 100:1.
But I suspect you will find all these first time donors gave $3,000 which I think is the maximum. In fact I would encourage the fact checkers to check every single first time donor that sent $3,000. Let's see how many, if any, had any idea they had made this donation.

Lord Jesus I also ask that you would motivate some, move in some, to look into these claims. I pray that your Holy Spirit, the restrainer, would move within those in a position to check these facts to check them and verify if this is true or just one more deceit given to the people. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, Lord of Heaven and Earth and I pray as in heaven your subjects are accountable for every word they speak so on Earth would it also be so. Amen.
No one is saying Fox News lied about this, they simply repeated what they were told by the Harris campaign.

What I am saying is that we have had a number of whistleblowers tell us that SuperPacs and billionaires will get a list of employees at their company and give the maximum in the name of each. People only later discover that they supposedly gave money to a campaign.
So this is a very bold claim made by Harris since there are people who are going to fact check it. With the money that Musk and Zuckerberg are now giving to the campaign they can easily spend $1 million a month to fact check the claims Harris campaign makes. That is some very talented and effective investigators will be on the scent. In fact Trump's campaign has already gone to court over this.
