I wish I could condemn George Lang's energetic intro for the Vance rally; but technically what he said really isn't wrong- and I feel the same way he does.
How long should a large population be expected to remain peaceful when their rights AND livelihood are being subverted under the color of law?
How long? Somebody tell me how long people should sit back and allow their government to fleece the population and run amok in the world causing political and economic/political upheaval? How long should people watch them promote medical tyranny, and crazy ideology? ABSURD judicial activism? OBVIOUS election interference?
The moment the United States took a step toward excellence, they promoted and executed political violence across the country to undermine an administration that promoted REAL community and nation-building and the REAL individual liberties that the constitution ACTUALLY, REALLY affords the citizens of the United States.

But half of the things they have done are not just "illogical" and/or "imprudent", "improper", "undiplomatic", "divisive".... they are ALL of those things
AND immoral, de facto unlawful, and unconstitutional.
Did we have "lessons learned" from the 2020 election and Jan.6? or not? For the 2024 election, there should be SO MUCH widespread publicly distributed evidence that any reasonable person could not think there was a chance for election fraud to affect the outcome of the election- and NO EXCUSES for a lack of evidence. No power outages, no waterline leaks, and no IT bugs, and no "oopsies! LOL!" problems that would cause people to call BS. None of that was acceptable before, but it's REALLY not acceptable now.
Failure to plan is planning to fail; I know the government knows this; because the government taught me this. You either take steps to gain back the public trust... or you don't actually care about the public trust. One or the other, no in-between.
Troy Nehls, of all people- was a Civil Affairs officer in the Army- should have understood exactly why people were in the Capitol on Jan.6; and he had the gumption to try and
SHAME the guys that were bold enough to approach him while his bodygaurds held them at gunpoint.... that was an OPEN DEMONSTRATION that they were not afraid to die. They obviously had some conviction in their soul that harsh language was not going to diffuse. YOUR MEN have guns trained on YOUR PEOPLE, and YOUR PEOPLE
DO NOT CARE. How do you not feel the gravity of that moment? You've already failed if it's come to this! So, instead of behaving diplomatically, or de-escalating the situation; you ridicule your people as you pathetically hide from unarmed men behind a piece of furniture. Are you kidding me?
THIS IS WHERE WE ARE as a country and we cannot and should not pretend otherwise.... it's a lie to pretend that "Kum-ba-yah" is going to happen; there has to be REAL discussion about our REAL expectations between the government and the people going forward- or we are gonna see REAL violence happen.
