I was watching a Church Camp Message off the internet a couple days ago. The Preacher preached an amazing message and when he finished the home church Pastor prayed for him. As they were praying, the home Pastor put his hands upon the visiting Preacher and the man almost stumbled. Then the home church Pastor stepped back and then with 1 finger gently touched the visiting Preacher and it was like he floated to the ground and he was stone cold out.

I said, wait a minute here.

So I backed up the sermon because I was watching the message where I could fast forward or go back. I went back and rewatched this whole scenario again. I wanted to make sure no phoney baloney funny business took place. Wanted to make sure this was no acting involved like this was a set-up. I leaned real close to the screen and watched as the home church Pastor gently touched the visiting preacher with 1 finger.

You know how we Preach, well I do, be careful what you watch on tv because it allows demonic spirits to enter your home through the tv screen?

Well, as I watched this Pastor touch this Preacher, it was as if the Holy Spirit went through my screen and touched me.

My wife said she watched me for 2 hours laying back in my chair speaking in tongues and laughing and she said I was drunk in the Holy Spirit. I do not drink. Never! But I looked at myself afterwards and my eyes were glassed over, my words were slurred, if I was driving I would no doubt been arrested for being under the influence of something.

So people can be healed or even touched by God through the screen.

Answer the questions as I asked them. Don't duck and hide. James, in chapter 5, you wanted to use it.

ok answer below

________________

But let's look at James Chapter five

James 5:13-18

13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick?

Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. (If you don't pray in faith, is it safe to say nothing will happen? )

And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

(Do you confess your sins to people so that you will be healed? When read in context, there is more to using oil from the text.)

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

Please remember you said James 5,

Now, many times, those like you say, "Show me that James 5 is not for today! "

James Five States:

  1. If you are suffering, Let HIM pray
  2. If you are cheerful, LET HIM sing psalms.
  3. If you are sick, LET Him call for the elder of the church and LET THEM PRAYER OVER HIM, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and the PRAYER OF FAITH( no power in the oil) WILL save the sick and the Lord will raise him up.
So, in your church, when you call for the elders, anoint with oil, and pray over that person in faith, are they healed? If they are not, why not? According to James 5, that is supposed to happen. The Lord is supposed to raise HIM up. Why would the Lord have you call for the elders, anoint with oil, and pray in faith to not save the sick and be raised up? I'm all ears.
I am not an eldest. I never was sick, by the grace of our Lord and needet this prayer.
Many years ago we asked the eldest of our church ( it was not the church I belong now) to pray for our son, because he had a heavy neurodermitis. So they prayed, and afterwards he got better. And today he has no more neurodermitis! So we praised the Lord for this.
So, I am realy dont know what you want.
You disagreed my post, where I said : 1st not every Christian got the gift of healing.2nd if someone is not healed to 100% it is not what we find in the healings which our Lord and the apostles did. 3rd. We have James 5 for today. So what is wrong with this 3 points?
If you are telling that these 3 points are not true, then you leave the biblical way.
So tell me now with what you disagree.

acts 3:33

33 And with great power, the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.

The reason for signs and wonders is to testify to the truth that Jesus Christ is alive. The power to witness the resurrected Lord.

I would provide a person in the hospital on life support who, after I prayed for him, God raised him up. I laid hands on him and prayed in the name of the Lord and Jesus the resurrection, and the life did it. All Glory to God.

I don't have permission from the family to post the pictures, but I will ask them. There are many times in the hospital where very powerful moves of God did happen and continue, yet hospitals are not all open to it because they lose money, and I have had doctors tell me they saved the person's life, not GOD. The idea that hospitals are not empty is not because GOD is not healing sick people.

Yep, but I dont spoke about the gift of the Holy Spirit. I spoke about the gift of healing.
You know the verse I mean. The same where Psul wrote that not all have the gift of speaking in tongues. But because you ignore this word of God there is no need for to talk about it.
Show me please the word of God which says that every believer get the gift of healing others.
I said nowhere that God is not healing today!
So with what you disagree?

I'm sorry, but I don't see where in James 5 it states that you had to be sick or the eldest. And FYI, Elder means one who is mature in the faith. Are you not that? Praise God for the healing of your son.

NO, I disagreed with what you stated. I said all have the gift of healing. Please tell the truth. I never said every Christian has the gift of healing.

"2nd if someone is not healed to 100% it is not what we find in the healings which our Lord and the apostles did. "

First, Healing means returning to its natural state. Sozo means saved, healed, and delivered.

We also see progressive healing within that hour or even a half day. Not all healing was immediate, but most were, I agree.

Also, I'm not against doctors, medicine, or hospitals. I teach God uses them to heal, too, as I see in the word of God. :)

1 Corinthians 12 through 14 never said there has to be a healer
Really? So now you want to play semantics? what is said in those chapters would apply to the entire Body of Christ, not just the church at Corinth. that should be obvious.

What should also be obvious is that the gift of healing would indeed be given to "another" in that church. So here is the Scripture: To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit (1 Cor 12:9). It is noteworthy that Paul says "gifts" (plural) not "gift" (singular).

I do not believe that these "sign gifts" continued after the apostles passed on. But it you have a healer in your congregation, kindly ask him to present us with a truthful written testimony right here. If you yourself are that healer, likewise. We need dates and incidents of healing.

Through the TV screen? Seriously?

Come on now ... be sober minded

of course not. Apples and oranges. Forgiveness of sins was covered with Jesus' sacrifice. Healing from illness in our "fallen" bodies is not guaranteed. Otherwise, no believer would ever die....
I have been waiting for you ;)

Oh isn't it guaranteed? oh isn't it covered by Jesu's sacrifice? where did you learn that Jesus bare our sins on the cross? The very same scripture says He bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases.

Why do cast iron believe the one part but not the other? He bore our sorrows and carried our griefs, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him.

All of us as one man proclaim as a trumpet blast "He bare our sins in His own body upon the tree" but when we proclaim. even if we proclaim, "Himself bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases" it is with an uncertain sound. We waver with buts and ifs.

People can only receive any of the blessings of the cross by believing, but if WE do not fully believe how will they who hear us believe?

Now it may be true that salvation from sin is the most precious, the most vital part. But we have NO RIGHT to gainsay God and give greater emphasis to one to the other. Whether is easier to say? "Son thy sins be forgiven thee or to say rise up take up thy bed and walk"

They are hand in hand in scripture my brother.

Is it like God to pardon and leave the pardoned one in sickness and distress?

And I say unto you Jesus is the FULL revelation of God, what He did is what God wills.

How are you, brother? It's been a while....

I think you know that I'm definitely NOT saying that God will not heal us... I just believe that He has a "master plan" for all of us, and if our physical healing is not part of His plan, we will not receive it... coincidentally, I just watched a video last evening of Lady Gaga discussing her chronic pain... and she stated that she has come to realize that God has a plan for her to learn from her pain, and to use her pain to teach/show others. It was an amazing testimony... Google it....

I get a little uneasy when people state that, no matter what is physically wrong with you, all you have to do is believe and pray, and you WILL be healed. To me, that begins to smack of the prosperity "gospel", where God wants us all to be wealthy....

I trust that God will do whatever is BEST for me in my life.... and sometimes that includes illness...

I believe that quote from Isaiah is talking about how Jesus bore the sickness and pain of sin for us... in Matthew, when it was referenced, it talked of how Jesus had taken the spiritual sickness away... he DID heal people, but that was to show the world that he was, truly, God on earth. And that reference to Jesus healing was before he died on the cross for us all.... so there is no indication that Jesus death was for physical healing. It was for spiritual healing and cleansing, to take away the pain and death that is tied to sin...
I find no indication that Jesus' death on the cross would allow us to never suffer from physical illnesses..

correct and you should have said that. That paul did say gifts are by " the same Spirit " FYI if the Holy Spirit are giving them and HE is Eternal and the church then needed them ( Body of Christ ) why not do day? And please provide Scripture to support your claim

"I do not believe that these "sign gifts" continued after the apostles passed on."

Your comment here is an opinion not founded in the word of God. I wait for your Biblical reference. FYI I never said I am a healer. And I can careless what dates you need you are not my authority or validator. Just give the Scriptures to support you position Then I will be happy to share the information of God healing through prayer with you.

That's Hollywood. Not reality
Just like when both Baptist Preachers, Presbyterians, Methodist, Pentecostals look into the camera and say, to those watching, if you believe this Gospel you just heard and want to make Jesus Lord of your life say this Prayer with me and mean it with all your ability.

And as they pray from their homes watching the preacher on television and become SAVED...the Holy Spirit moved from the church to the watcher listening...

According to you this is IMPOSSIBLE, because it's Hollywood?

...As if Hollywood, whose all about the spirit of Sex and Money and Power [what spirit btw is behind this?] is going to tell on themselves or the spirits behind Hollywood would reveal themselves...

Thanks John. Who told you the times of signs and wonders were over? I don't recall the Holy Spirit leaving. He dwells in us. He is the healer. He provides the gifts. You ask what purpose is healing today? Because people are sick & God loves us. Simple.
The Apostle Paul told us an explanation of Old Testament scriptures that said it had an end. So did Jesus, so did Isaiah, and so did Moses, Micah and many others. Signs, wonders and other big miracles were to let ALL the people know something was going on. They were massive in scope so that everyone could know plainly what was going on and God's thoughts on the current state of affairs.

Apparently you don't have a good grasp of hermeneutics of Old Testament scriptures.

As far as the Holy Spirit leaving or coming back? Again this is an incongruous question as the Old Testament is full of stories about how the Holy Spirit influenced men and beasts to do God's bidding. The Holy Spirit has never left or arrived. You Apparently do not understand the Trinity at all.

So....
By your questions I am wondering if you have ever read and understood the Bible....
You seem to have conveniently forgotten massive portions of it. Especially the ones about the blasphemy of God's name by misrepresenting Him in such a fashion....Simon Magnus I'm sure can tell you all about such things.

Here's a List of People, some were Disciples of John, that claim Signs and Wonders end when we see the FACE of JESUS at the Rapture.
[Even the Reformer John Calvin, who Spoke in Tongues, claims it ends at when we see God]

From Church Fathers to Reformers all believe the Perfect to Come (τὸ τέλειον) is seeing God or when we die and see God:

Irenaeus understood τὸ τέλειον to refer to seeing God

Tertullian takes face to face to refer to the visible manifestation of Jesus.

Clement’s view of the passage is quite clear. He first cites verses eight and thirteen and then alludes to verse ten in his explanation. τὸ τέλειον is the believer’s state when he sees God.

Origen cites both verse twelve (“face to face”) and verse ten (“that which is perfect”) is about God.

Cyprian cites 1 Corinthians 13:12 (“seeing through a glass”) a “the secrets of God cannot be seen through now but face to face we shall know."

Eusebius states, “The apostle thought it necessary that the prophetic gift should continue in all the Church until the final coming of Jesus."

Methodius uses τὸ τέλειον in reference to the return of Christ and the events associated with it.

Basil relates τὸ τέλειον to complete (as opposed to partial) knowledge of the truth in heaven about God.

Ambrose addresses the issue of theodicy. In doing so he alludes to 1 Corinthians 13:9–10, relating the perfect to the future day when the believer will be face to face with God.

John Chrysostom identifies τὸ τέλειον with complete knowledge, which from the context of his remarks, will be when we see God.

Jerome wrote τὸ τέλειον refers to the state of perfection or Christian maturity that the believer reaches at death or when they see God.

Augustine pinned, the perfect to come is “When He shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

Leo the Great wrote, ‘face to face’ is seeing the very Godhead ‘as He is.’

John Calvin wrote, τὸ τέλειον as the state of perfection that comes to some extent at death, but only completely at the judgment.

Richard Baxter wrote, τὸ τέλειον as the state of perfection reached at death.

Matthew Poole identifies τὸ τέλειον as heaven.

John Locke relates τὸ τέλειον to “the state of accomplishment and perfection” that comes “hereafter.”

Doodridge believes τὸ τέλειον to refer to the heavenly state.

Gill identifies τὸ τέλειον as the perfect knowledge of God in the life to come.

Wesley includes this terse explanation of τὸ τέλειον: “at death and in the last day.

The Spirit didn't move from the TV to the person praying. He is omnipresent.

I was meaning Hollywood in the way they portray ghosts coming out of TVs and mirrors etc

Think about this !
