The fact that you self-admittedly refer to yourself as blunt, completely takes away from the Power of Scripture. Why? Because I didn't read anything but your opening and closing lines. Indeed, you're rather abrasive, and I have no time for such people. If you'd like to be kind and gentle as you are clearly commanded, I'd take your interpretations seriously. When you have been taught to be kind, perhaps then your understanding of Scripture will be more accurate.

May the Lord grant you the most amazing of Blessings.
yeah the truth can be abrasive nothing I can do about that

Well, you are right about one thing . . . "you" cannot do anything about being abrasive, for this is the Work and Effect of the Indwelling Holy Spirit. The Bible calls it "Fruit of the Spirit."

When a person receives the Indwelling Holy Spirit, they undergo a Transformation that they themselves cannot perform, or even choose.

May the Lord grant you the most amazing of Blessings. Please stop this banter, I am not here for these reasons and the majority seem to be. This site is a type of church, and it should be just as kind and friendly as was the church I attended last Sunday. They were warm and welcoming . . . each of them. I encourage you to follow that model. If you choose to keep this nonsense going, I will ignore it, for I don't have the time nor energy to keep going round and round in Satanic circles.

May the Lord grant you the most amazing of Blessings.

Was Jesus angry about merchant desecrating the temple, what did he do? I was angry to see scripture desecrated day in day out by too many. I have to do something and cannot be still and leave people in ignorance and following false doctrine, helping it is the thing to do.

"Truth does not become more true by virtue of the fact that the entire world agrees with it, nor less so even if the whole world disagrees." - Maimonides

May the Lord give you wisdom and knowledge.

I stopped reading at the end of the first sentence. You aren't Jesus. His Role is that of God and reserves the right to condemn. When we were told to follow the example of Christ, it wasn't in His abrasiveness, but in his Humble Love and patient Endurance through suffering.

You aren't supposed to be like Bildad, Zophar, or Eliphaz. You are supposed to be like Christ in His comfort and Love.

You aren't an Apostle, thus you are not allowed to run around and straighten everyone out. You are commanded to build peace with everyone. So, things are a bit backward. Now, to your credit, I used to do what you are currently doing . . . until I realized that I was wrong, proven by the grief that I was feeling in my heart when I would berate others (for I too though that by tearing another person apart would somehow make them better. In short, I was crazy. So, don't follow my former crazy example, and set your heart free by learning how to make others feel good about themselves. Currently, you are intentionally hurting people so that they will think poorly of themselves. But I want you to know this . . . there are people HERE who are suicidal. If you don't stop hurting people, YOU might push a person to kill themselves.

God is watching you. God is listening to you. God is right next to you when you type your hurtful and unholy words. Check yourself.

New Testament Scripture is The New Testament Law.
God does not change. The God of the OT and NT is the same. The moral law of the OT and NT is the same.

God is love.
He didn't start being love in the NT

The NT was written by people that only had the OT scripture. Jesus quoted the OT many times, and does Paul. The OT is no less important then the NT.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

When this was written the NT was not written..

All of the New Testament is The New Testament Law.
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

The new Testament writer believed these verses and we should too.
If you don't take time to understand the OT your no getting the full picture.

Back to the start....

There is plenty of Scripture to demonstrate that the Law has been removed as of the Resurrection of Christ.
The Law can mean many things

Make sure you don't fall into the trap of putting all laws together. What applies to one set of laws does not apply to all.

It is true that the law of ordinance, which was introduced because of sin, was nailed to the cross.

Paul said ....
Rom 7:12 KJV Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
And Jesus said....
Mat 5:17-18
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
These laws are not going anywhere.
And they are laws from the OT.

But Paul also said.
Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

God does not controdict Himself.

God's moral Law has not changed.
The laws of ordinance pointing to the coming Messiah, which were finished when Jesus died.

But we are never told to stop keeping the moral law. See James 2:10-12

Is there anyway to get a list of “law” verses that are out of date?

Hello friendly friends,

I am working my way through Day 356 of the timeline, chronological study plan and in this set of unbelievable Scripture, arises this matter of the Levitical Law and its expiration date. :)

Hebrews 8:13 KJV - 13 In that he saith, A new [covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old [is] ready to vanish away.
Hebrews 8:13 NLT - 13 When God speaks of a "new" covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.

There is plenty of Scripture to demonstrate that the Law has been removed as of the Resurrection of Christ.

I, at this time, believe that the Law has been extinct for a couple thousand years, but I need to make sure that I am, gulp, "right" about this belief.

Thank you to all who participate with the maturity that only comes from the same Love that the Father has for His Holy Son (should the Lord have placed it within you).
Can you give us a list of the law scriptures that are extinct?

Also, can you provide a list of churches to avoid because they only practice and preach the law?

Yes, we can all search the web for answers. What I am attempting to do is not only learn about God's Word, but also build relationships and unity by personally discussing what we believe the Bible has to say. Discussing the Lord's Word should bring us together. :)

I'd love to hear your personal thoughts. :)
I agree. It should. I think the question is “ What’s the real world application? If I’m praying and seeking God for the salvation and deliverance of family members, then how does this help? What application does this apply to when praying during a crisis?”

One poster mentioned that the thief’s prayer to Jesus on the cross does not work today. So, could we say anything close to what the thief did on the cross would send a person to hell, since it was based upon the old covenant, or before Jesus’ resurrection? I’ve heard this several times, when discussing the law was now extinct.
