I am by no means "angry" but you certainly seem rather "woke".

Now don’t go “quibbling” about how we believe there is power in the water. You know we don’t believe that. The water is not the “power” that saves us it’s the AGENT used in our salvation. Just like the water of the Jordan River did not have “power” to cure leprosy when Naaman was “saved” in 2 Kings 5. No one that I have ever heard believes the power was in the water. That’s just a quibble used because they don’t have a better answer to Peter.

The PURPOSE of the Holy Spirit was NOT TO SAVE them. Acts 10:45 says that when the Holy Spirit was poured out on Cornelius and his house, that the Jews were ASTONISHED because the Holy Spirit was given to GENTILES! Nowhere do the scriptures say that the Holy Spirit SAVED anyone. It was a “SIGN” that the gospel was also for gentiles as well as Jews. Chapter 11:18 proves it. When the Jews heard about the Holy Spirit falling on the gentiles they said, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.” It was necessary for the Jews to believe . Cornelius and his house were commanded to be (water) baptized for salvation. They already believed. Thus, just like all of the other converts in Acts, they believed and were baptized just like Jesus said in Mark 16:16
We have more PROOF in Acts 8:15 the Samaritans had been baptized in the name of Jesus, but had not received the Holy Spirit so the apostles LAID THEIR HANDS ON THEM and they received the Holy Spirit. In this scripture, the believers did not get the Spirit until AFTER their baptism in water. They did not get the Spirit in the same way that Cornelius got it. With Cornelius it was MIRACULOUS! With the Samaritans, it was by the apostles laying their hands on them.
Nowhere in the New Testament does it ever say that the Holy Spirit was given to Save people from their sins in order to make them a Christian.

I guess Peter anticipated there would be unbelievers who argue about it being just a “bath.” So he says, “NOT THE REMOVAL OF THE FILTH OF THE FLESH.” That’s good enough for me. How about you?

On the cross, He said, 'It is finished' and bowed His head and died. But we know He rose from the dead and those who believe in Him will have eternal life. Now there is more to it than that, but that is how we begin our new life as a follower of Jesus.
I'm not arguing anything. People who believe in baptismal regeneration, as it seems you and several others here do, are the ones who deny salvation through Christ alone and must add to scripture. My flesh is not filthy, nor my soul or spirit.
I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and God sees me as righteous in His Son.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. II Corinthians 5:21
But if we should walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. I John 1:7
