Sure I'd buy cheap random food at a good restaurant. We used to do it at a convenience store - they had dollar bags full of deli leftovers at the end of their business night and mom was poor.

Of course it depends on how good the restaurant and how cheap the random food...

Would you ever... Pay for deeply discounted leftover food at a restaurant, even if you couldn't choose what you got?

Apparently there are apps in some busy cities that are doing this. Restaurants are getting rid of food at the end of the night, so for a cheap price, you can pick up a bag or two -- but you'll have no idea or choice over what you'll get.

no, i would never pay for deeply discounted food. i'm super picky about the food i eat. in fact, i only dine at gourmet restaurants.

I didn't hold it, but I did get to pet a gator about this size -- and they had its mouth firmly duct taped shut.

I would never parasail. I didn't leave anything up in the air or down in the water that I need to go get. And I wasn't designed for either of those places.

I would definitely dumpster dive, if there was a college nearby. You can get some good computers people just throw away after the semester is over.

Would you spend your whole day off piddling around on CC forum? (Please answer fast. Wednesday is my day off and I have zero plans.)

I've always wanted to get a group of friends together and drive the entire length of Route 66 -- and back.

Juneau sounds interesting so I would definitely be interested in at least planning out the details and seeing if we could give it a go.

Funny you should ask.

I passed by this product in the store a few weeks ago and couldn't pass them up -- even though I haven't been to Red Lobster in years. They were pretty good, but I didn't use the garlic butter sauce (the seasoning packet for it comes in the box.)

I'm still waiting for someone to answer my beepy red nose question, but in the meantime...

Would you ever... throw a rock at an owl that was hooting so loudly outside your window that it was keeping you awake?

This is actually based on a true story. Now of course, I'd never expect that anyone would actually hurt an owl, but for a minute, I contemplated it. I was dead tired and this owl was not going away -- he had rooted himself right out my window and was hooting up a storm.

Lucky for him, I have really lousy aim.

Depends on the venue. In children's church, if I was wearing one, I probably would. At w*rk I would not wear one, and anybody who tried to beep my nose would lose a finger at least.

About the owl, I've dealt with annoying owls before. That's all I'm gonna say.



Would you watch somebody else play a video game just because it had an interesting story but you didn't want to play the game yourself?

Yes, absolutely! I grew up watching my brother and his friends playing video games. I have terrible hand/eye coordination, so I make a terrible player.

But I find some games so interesting and the graphics are so amazing, I sometimes watch "cutscenes" videos because they're like watching movies.

No. Oof, terrible idea! I can't think of any easier way to lose a limb, or at least a few fingers.

And the blade length is terribly impractical for everyday utilitarian purposes. Despite what the movies try to portray, using one of those things to actually cut anything requires either good eyesight and a steady hand or holding it with the hilt way behind you. Go ahead, try opening an amazon box with one. You'll be reordering whatever was being shipped.

I'd want to own a lightsaber if I could control the blade length. I mean really... Why has nobody ever made them ADJUSTABLE?

And then of course... There's adjustable the other way.

(And yes I know in Star Wars canon Luke's lightsaber has a knob to - theoretically - control length. Ever seen him USE IT?! I think he just stuck it on for show.)

I dunno... I just googled it and landspeeders didn't go that fast. You can go faster on a motorcycle, or even in many street legal cars. Shoot, my old '97 car will go faster than they would.

And no, I would not hold a spider of any kind. I respect them in their place - OUTDOORS - eating mosquitoes. If they come in here where I live their lives are forfeit.

Years ago, a friend and I saw a short film at church. I'm sure it's been played at many churches, which puts this dilemma right in front of you. For anyone who remembers it better or has seen it recently, I apologize if I get anything wrong.

A young father, takes his young son around 6 years old, to his work at the train station. The boy wanders off, and at first his father is unaware that the boy has put himself in danger of being hit by the train.

The train comes around the bend. The father has a choice of where he can switch the track to -- one path will cause the death of the people on the train, who are completely unaware and going about their lives, reading the paper (this was a long time ago,) drinking tea, etc., and the other path leads to the train running over his son.

The man begins to cry -- and makes the choice to sacrifice his son for lives of the people.

We were told that this is what God did for us when He had a choice between us humans and His own Son.

My friend and I started bawling and hugging each other. I sure hope I never have to make a choice like that.
