No, I have not. I never saw the need, as it was pretty self explanatory.

Let me ask you... what do you think the 3000+ Jews at Pentecost thought/assumed when Peter, in answer to their question, told them to "repent, and be baptized..... " ? Do you think that they considered doing an exhaustive study of what he meant? Or did they KNOW what he meant?
You know, I'll pass on this opportunity for exchanging ideas. I have never found a fruitful conversation with people who have not studied the Bible, yet assume the seat of Teacher.

What a condescendingly arrogant thing to say.
In retrospect, I'm pleased that you "passed" on this.

Or, perhaps you have made such a reputation for yourself might explain why I said the following to you earlier. And no, I'm no Prophet.

"Now, if you're going to resort to name-calling and belittling my Spiritual status or placing me into some kind of box, please don't reply. I have no room for drama."

If you are accusing me of those actions, it would be interesting to be shown where I did that. I don't name-call, and I don't belittle anyone's spiritual status... that is between them and God. I don't put people in boxes that they have not chosen for themselves...
so.... if discussing and disagreeing over scripture is somehow too much drama for you, perhaps you should move on to another forum, where everyone sees and recognizes your spiritual superiority... Personally, I haven't seen it yet....

Oh, I guess I will take responsibility, then. My failing mind was certain that you called me arrogant and condescending. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. It's totally my fault.

"Repentance is not a gift..."
Unless you are a Calvinist.

"it is a conscious choice that we must make."
Unless you are a Calvinist.

"I CHOOSE to turn away from sin. God does not make me turn away...."
Unless you are a Calvinist.

"I believe after I receive the indwelling Spirit, he helps me STAY turned away..."
Unless you are a Calvinist.

"but the decision to turn away is mine to make"
Unless you are a Calvinist.

Studying the Bible, especially topics like Repentance, is so much more rewarding than studying what "Calvin" thought and taught.

An exhaustive study on Repentance???

Wait...let me guess.

You have.
I would humbly say so, yes. I have been exhaustively studying the Spiritual Work of Christ for many years. The goal is to make sure that I know the Saving Plan of Christ BEFORE I take His Plan to the world.

Do you relate to that?

Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but vas an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Just saying...

Regardless of our personal sensibilities on what we think about how we should be saved, it is the Bible that ends the debate.
My comment was simply about immersion. Try reading what I wrote next time.

Nope... sounds like a convenient excuse to not evangelize/witness to anyone...
except to the captive audience of a forum, where you can show off the results of your "exhaustive study"... to the adulation of the lesser folks.

Most believers that have studied much less than you, I'm sure, have learned already that we are to be salt and light to the world, and that we are not to wait until we are "perfect" to begin that mission...

by all means, keep on studying, exhaustively.... perhaps some day in the far distant future, you will be "ready" to tell the world about Jesus.

Not to put too fine a point on it..... I did NOT call you arrogant and condescending. I said that what you SAID was condescendingly arrogant.

So, yes, it totally IS your fault...

Had enough silly word games? I have. I'm done with you on this topic.

I read ten words before I realized that your berating and belittling attitude rages on. You have been placed on ignore. I have not a moment of time to spend in battle with you. Best of luck, and may the Lord grant you the most amazing of Blessings, the Blessing of a Circumcised heart.

One man's "exhaustive study" is another man's confirmation bias.

Proverbs 18:17 "The first person to state his case appears to be right. Then his neighbor comes and cross-examines him."

You may think because of your "exhaustive study" you are correct but your argument is full of holes.

"berating and belittling attitude rages on"

In other words, you are rather thin skinned.
