I wouldn't want to live in Palestine as long as apostate Israel is running things there.I wouldn't mind living there after Jesus comes though. The middle east needs a change in rulership.

I am well acquainted with biblical End Times prophecy.
Then you would be acquainted with the persecution of the saints who do not recieve the mark of the beast before the beast is destroyed in the war of armegeddon.
First the persecution when the saints are beheaded.Them who do not worship the beast.This persecution lasts 3.5 years while the false prophet accompanies the beast.
Revelation 20
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Then the war of armegeddon when the beast is destroyed.

If we assume for the moment The Almighty and His Son gave believers an entire summary of what would happen in human history from the Jews POV after Messiah is crucified until He returns, without breaks or pauses in that summary, then we are much further along in prophecy than the AOD and the start of the Great Tribulation.
The Jew's entire way of life centered around the temple service, and so to tell them that the temple would be completely destroyed (not one stone left) was telling them that their entire world was soon ending, which would be unsettling to say the least. This is the context of their question to Messiah.
“Tell us,” they said, “when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?”
1) when will THEIR temple, the one they were walking through at that very moment, be destroyed?
2) what will be the sign, or the marker, of Messiah's return and (thus) the end of the age?
So The Messiah summarized everything that was to happen leading up to THEIR temple, the one they were currently walking through, being destroyed. And then He summarized what else would happen following that major event leading up to the sign, the marker, of His return.
Only once did He mention the Temple being destroyed in His summary, followed by the persecution & scattering of His people until He returned.
He never said: the temple would be destroyed, His people would be tried and scattered, only for them to regather (without Him) back into the land and rebuild another temple just so another AOD event occurs destroying the temple again leading to another great tribulation and scattering of them all before He returns...it's just not in the text.
One of the things that proves The Almighty is Who He says He is is declaring all that will happen in order. So for He (through The Messiah) to list the temple being destroyed only once in the Olivet Discourse means it only happens once and their subsequent scattering only happens once before He returns to regather them back home.
...this also means the people currently in the land are much worse than apostate...they are imposters.
It's not the temple that will be desolate .
The temple of God is not a stone building unbelievers built in Jerusalem. The temple of God is the body of Christ.It will not be desolate as long as the spirit of God dwells in it.
You will know when the abomination of desolation is placed in Jerusalem by the United states armed forces.The people who are in Jerusalem will suddenly be consumed as they stand on their feet.Thats how you will know.The only people who are not consumed are them who are saved.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

... no longer means "you" but someone else.
The New Testament is a legal document like a will and testament. If you are invited to the reading of the will it is because you have been included in that document. We have been told specifically, by Jesus, the testator, that God is not the God of the dead but of the living and the word of God is living. It is not spoken to the dead but to the living.
We have also been told specifically by John, an apostle from the beginning and one who wrote five books of the New Testament that the Lord said many things that are not in this book, but these words that are written are for us to believe and receive. If the Lord had a word that was only for people at the time of his first ministry those words are not in the NT.
Therefore any doctrine that says this word is not to us or that word is not to us is simply not Biblical.
No doubt the Lord refers to the destruction of the temple and He uses that to discuss the end of the age just as He also does with Jonah and Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah. These things help illustrate to us what it will be like. But all of those words are spoken to us just as much as they are spoken to anyone else in the church age.
What did they see? Six months after the Jewish leaders declared that Jesus was acting according to the spirit of Beelezebub prompting Jesus to tell them that this sin would not be forgiven but their judgment was sure, that was when they asked a sign from Him to confirm that God had declared this judgment. Jesus said the only sign that would be given to them would be the sign of Jonah. It is very likely that this took place exactly one year to the day from Pentecost when the disciples began to preach repentance for killing Jesus Christ the Messiah. Historical records show that from that point on the temple door would not close, the scarlet thread on the goat at atonement would not turn white and the priests were dying in the temple when they entered the Holy of Holies. That is like the 40 lashes minus one (39 lashes). That was the sign of Jonah as the apostles went throughout Jerusalem telling them to repent until the day the city was utterly destroyed. The best evidence is that this began in 31AD and 39 years later to the day the temple was cast down. This was also 40 years to the day from when Jesus proclaimed the judgement, said they would not be forgiven, and told them they would get this sign.
But that is not the only place where Jesus says they will be given the sign of Jonah, He also said that it would be a sign of the end of the age. So if you want to focus on Matthew 24 being specifically to those at the time and the destruction of the temple that is fine, but the NT clearly links that event to the destruction of the apostasy at the end of the age. The evil and adulterous age is not simply to the religious leaders at the time of Jesus, that equally applies to the religious leaders in the apostasy. Likewise, it is very clear from the NT that the end of the age would be like the days of Lot with Sodom and Gomorrah. So even if there are some righteous ones in the apostate church they will be saved like Lot and his two daughters.
The end of the age (end of the pre-Messianic age) and the apostasy occurred in the first century.

I learned long ago that Jesus speaks directly to end times saints throughout the gospel.Its very interesting that Jesus does this and no one pays attention to it.In the following verse Jesus talks about the tribulation that takes place before his coming.His second advent.

I see Jesus warning the first century Christians, that makes the most logical sense to me with a correct hermeneutic lens.

then what year in the first century was the end when Jesus came?
