Good evening Molly,

Unfortunately, I believe that suicide is a side affect of not having faith. I believe that their thinking is, if I kill myself I'll fade to black and be non-existent. Yet according to scripture we know that, that is not what takes place. All that is happening is that they are causing their body to stop functioning and their spirit/soul departs, conscious and aware. For those who take their own lives and not being in Christ, it is not very promising to say the least. I have no idea what happens when one who claims to believe in Christ when they take their own lives. The act of suicide is a very foolish gamble !

Oh man, I'm sorry to see the original poster isn't here anymore -- he had such a good sense of humor, and took it all in stride.

Soooo many past friends in this thread who are no longer here (at least, not under those names)... :cry:
