The man depicted as Jesus (by wearing the crown of thorns and the central cross beneath) is holding the flag close during His suffering, as if the flag is giving Him strength, or as if He is suffering for the flag (possibly both). Both are nonsensical blasphemy (Jesus is God and needs no strength from His Creation, and He certainly didn't suffer for the US flag or even only the US people - "for God so loved the world"),

Pssst don't tell the Calvinists. I think as I mentioned before, I live in the Bible belt so these are images you see all over of one type or another and long before Trump even thought of running for office. Look for Christian t-shirts, you'll find the same idea. I can't say you're wrong because you're giving your opinion or what you feel. I saw a t-shirt and it was very popular for a while that I felt was wrong. It had frogs on it that said " God Is Wiser" in place of Budweiser. I just didn't think it was appropriate. But plenty here would probably have not issue with buying it and wearing it.

However, note Jesus' response to Joshua in Joshua 5:13. If ever God was on a nation's side, we would expect it to be Israel (that is, the real Israel in the Old Testament, rather than a nation claiming to be Israel today). But when Joshua spoke to Jesus - "Art thou for us, or our enemies?" - note Jesus response - "Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come." And note Joshua's response to this - he fell on his face to the earth, and did worship.
Well, you know how I feel about that subject. But you'd have to admit that it's natural that if people believe Christians are going to replace Israel, where are you gonna find more Christians in one place than America? I don't hold with that. There are many that are talking about a national repentance in America, I don't believe that will happen. I believe some have replaced America with Israel. It's Israel that will repent as a nation, not us.

I think it's good to support a political party that is promising or promoting to do good (e.g. Trump over the Democrats), as I also believe it is good to refrain from the political process for those so convicted, but we must remember it is Christ who saved us - we are on His side and He is our Captain, and not seek to embark on yet another "holy" war or crusade trying to enlist God to support our causes.

I'm not saying anyone here is doing this, but I am saying this is what the picture represents - government or political affiliation over God.
None of us know God's time clock, but there will be signs. I'd say we're closer than we have ever been. I saw a flag the other day that said " Jesus is my Savior, Trump is my President" Sounds about right. But Trump is for peace in the ME and God may be at the place where Israel is going to have to repent, come back to Him and depend on only Him. Only God knows where we are in history.

You wish us well and then take a parting shot. Nice.
Yeah I did take a poke at the bear, sorry about that.

But really, until you can tell me, in your own words, with as much comprehensive detail as the work I offered in the link, don't even PRETEND to think we have the same amount of time and study on this issue as I have. It's not even close to close.

Would you like that link again?

I actually did, I remain unconvinced however, I'll stick with the words of Jesus.

"When YOU see these things"... the people to whom He was speaking.... not 2000+ years in the future.

That is my position and I am sticking with it. :)

No thanks. And time studying doesn't equal knowledge gained, or understanding given. One can be given more insight in an afternoon with God than can be gleaned in a lifetime.
You have perfected the nonslight slight. Bravo!

I don’t think so! However, it does show a sadness in the face. Maybe that is because of what we as a nation have become!
