I'm not personally into censorship for adults. I like allowing the marketplace to censor with it's choices.Yeah, I think the secret is out as to why this is offensive to them.
No there is no such confusion. Certain things can fall into both categories. Abortion is both religious and political. So is homosexuality and a dozen other issues. There are times where these issues cross each other. Fact of life.
In post 38 you explained what i call Tradition but you may not be aware of it.
There's nothing wrong with Tradition but don't expect universal agreement.
This is why you may disagree with the Catholic Church and some of their traditions.
Well some of their traditions aren't Biblical. To me this has always been America from what I've seen looking from the outside and now the inside.
Max I have always respected your POV even if I don't necessarily agree. I know you think deeply about these things, and you don't respond without facts and when you're giving an opinion you say so. Yes, there is a but coming. lol I got over the American political/Christian thing many years ago when I first came into the country. We were doing a concert in Maine and I remember seeing a sign above a store that was selling both guns and running a Christian bookstore. So they had a picture of a gun and "God bless you" beside it. I pointed it out to all my family because I thought it was so odd.
But really, go to Gatlinburg, you'll see all kinds of paintings, decor, caps and t-shirts with these types of images. It's as American as apple pie. It happened long before Trump and will long after. When we traveled we sold t-shirts like that all the time. So I guess I really don't see what the issue is.
Politics and Christianity are not the same... but they do overlap in places.
I just feel we should always think carefully about HOW that overlap best correlates with scripture.
That's all.
And I've always thought you were a good Christian, with nothing but the best intentions... so no problems between us whatsoever.
God Bless.

Trump is the one causing believers to conflate the Cross with the flag. He's the one who claims to be Christian, yet leads Christians away from Gods ways. They're the ones looking for a worldly savior.Ahhh now we get where the rubber meets the road. You don't care about the cross and the flag, its Trump that annoys you. I figured as much. So where do you see that Trump figures into this picture?

No, because those who seek a political God are being lured away from the real Him. And I don't wish that on ANY brother or sister.I see it in your response where you confuse religion with politics. Or more accurately God with politics.
You're not alone in this choice but in no way i will make this mistake because the other side of the AR15 Jesus is the trans Jesus that's pushed in some churches which are at the opposite end of your spectrum.
So, you enjoy yourself with your political God and i also enjoy myself with my supreme Creator and we're both happy.
And that shows atheists God's love how?I prefer to make fun of atheists. It's so easy...
That's reality, and ya better wake up to itThat's your opinion, you're entitled to it.
you mean with it's algorithmsI'm not personally into censorship for adults. I like allowing the marketplace to censor with it's choices.
No. People approve or disaprove of all kinds of things with various forms of feedback...how they spend their money, what they click on, what they say and write. The saying...go woke, go broke...came through marketplace feedback of consumers not consuming products and services they find offensive.you mean with it's algorithms
You have a low opinion of Christians.Trump is the one causing believers to conflate the Cross with the flag. He's the one who claims to be Christian, yet leads Christians away from Gods ways. They're the ones looking for a worldly savior.

To me, this appears to be a depiction of Jesus pulling back the flag to reveal Himself, God. And it also seems to me to be implying that, the US ever was "one" nation, it was when everyone had been united as 'one' under God, and I suppose it won't be again unless that happens but... it is all too obvious that it isn't so indivisible....and this may be because the us is in fact not actually "one"... that's just how I see it.View attachment 264169................................
ok, too late. I'm still thinking...maybe I'm thinking too much into it
Can you be a little more clear here? I'm not seeing what you are. Whats manipulative?

I have valid concerns about a growing group of ChristiansYou have a low opinion of Christians.
