Carry The Impossible Burden

Always do what’s right. Every human way is wrong. Always do what's right in God's eyes, and God's heart. I understand God's pain. I can understand God's heart. And those who don't, don't know God. This is my burden. Cause after all these years I feel like I'm the only one. God knows how much it hurts. Always do what's right even if it costs you everything. I have to do what's right even if it costs me it all. There's no other way. You can serve God, or serve death.

I recently broke this down and analyzed it for my own satisfaction. I do what is right because it is the only way that does not cause damage.

It sometimes seems pointless when people all around me are blithely doing what is wrong and wrecking their own lives and everything around them. Why bother myself if nobody else bothers? But if I cannot keep them from causing harm, at least I can keep from adding my damage to the pile.

Was it in Hebrews where we read that we have not yet resisted sin to the point of our bloodshed, or something like that? I pray I'm ready for such a moment, and that I make the right decision. I see something dark and worldly in me that may be compromising my commitment. Frankly, it scares me.

Trust in the Lord. Darkness can be around, but the light of the Lord is more powerful. We're at constant battle with ourselves. Allow the Lord to have control and guide you through these moments.

The mouth can be a tool for destruction.
Proverbs 18:21 states that “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 12:18-19 says that “the tongue of the just is as choice silver; the heart of the wicked is worth little.” And James 3:5-6 explains that “the tongue is a fire, a world of evil. The tongue is among the parts of the body, defiling the whole body and setting the course of nature on fire.”
Let's use it for reflection and restoration.

I like the Bible better. It makes people come to Christ and reflect on their mistakes, which increases the probability of their Salvation.

It's my job to rephrase things in a way people will remember. That's why God told me to be a preacher.

It's my job to take the Word of God and apply it how it is so people can understand what they really mean. That's my journey as a preacher.

I think burden is a stage of christian growth. The next stage is optimism and being able to grow in isolation. Knowing that others will suffer consequences is not a burden to me its progression. Because to be honest spirituality is selfish. When being isolated in viewpoint and lifestyle we become accustomed to preparing self for personal judgement and reward, being convincing to others but not dwelling on their responses.

Because to be honest spirituality is selfish. I don't agree here. Nothing about Christ is selfish. Maybe I was built different, or maybe Christ made me be different.
