I believe many confuse or apply both to the same meaning, but throughout the entire Bible there is obvious Election and Elect. From the usage of YHVH's words in Deuteronomy and Paul's explanations in Romans and Ephesians show us how many have made these 2 concepts mean the same thing. Which is obviously incorrect because Election is a process and Elect is confirmation of that process.
The Apostle Peter gives us great insight in his second Epistle, 10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election.
Peter shows us we are part of the process (Election) but it's our job to confirm being Elect.
Peter confirms predestination, or the process of Election, mentioned by Paul. But Peter goes a step further instructing that we "confirm" that process.
The Elect just speaks about those who ""Are Saved.""
Election speaks about those who ""can be Saved.""
To be Elect means you have confirmed the Election process.
So many false doctrines have combined the 2 and we see it in this thread.
