I'm curious, since I don't know why someone would say, that the Catholic Church is very different, than the Roman Catholic Church? Please explain. Also, please throw in your insights on how the Irish Catholic Church is comparable, or not the same in your view.
Thanks!
"The Catholic Church, also known as the Roman Catholic Church, is the largest Christian church, with 1.378 billion baptized Catholics worldwide as of 2021. It is among the world's oldest and largest international institutions, and has played a prominent role in the history and development of Western civilization." wiki
The term "Roman Catholic Church" is an oxymoron. It's a contradiction, to to use the word "Roman" which describes a particular geographic location and then apply the word Universal or (Catholic) to that location. Rome would need to encompass the entire globe to give the term validity.
So the title doesn't have any logical meaning, so it's a contradiction of terms. Just as everything else the RRC teach is contradictory and not founded on any Biblical doctrines. For example, the Pope has given himself the title "Holy Father" but God warned, not to call any man holy father.
The second commandment warns against making statues and bowing down to them but the RCC is famous for that. God said there's only One mediator between God and man and that being His Son, but the Pope rejects that and claims that Mary is a co mediatrix.
I could give you a 1000 examples where the Vatican blatantly rejects Gods commands and imposed their Pagan Roman dictates, to their teaching. The Pope has given himself the title "The Vicar of Christ", meaning Christs equal representative on earth.
The Universal (Catholic) Church, is the One true Church, where Christ is the head of it and all the believers make up the body. That includes believers from every age and every corner of the earth. The term "Catholic" was hijacked by Pagan Rome and incorporated into their Pagan Empire.
Constantinople, realized that he could never kill all the believers as there were too many around the world, so he just amalgamated the Church with the Pagan Roman Empire and called it the Roman Catholic Church.
The Irish Roman Catholic Church is not an independent non denominational Church. The Vatican has full control over it, and it can't do anything other than what the Pope allows, so it's no different to any other Church under Romanism.
