God is a God of the living.

Life from his life.

First life was created in heaven before life was re created on earth.

Gen 1
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Wrong again, my bible tells me that life was never created and never recreated. It only says given, you can only give something if it already exists, otherwise it's just an unfulfilled promise.

Jesus created all things except for Himself, as He was never created to begin with

Seriously, though, Charlie_2024, if we would spend more time following the Lord Jesus Christ, I believer there would be more joy and peace in our fellowship one with another.

Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

That sounds good, but he sad reality is Jesus didn't come into the world to unite people. He came to divide people into two groups.
 ... well, I'm sure you've read 1 Cor 12:12 – 26 where we are told about the one body in Christ (1 Cor 12:12-13) in which there are many members (1 Cor 12:14) and that God has set every member in the body as it has pleased Him (1 Cor 12:18) ... that no member of the body can say to another member of the body "I have no need of you" (1 Cor 12:21) ... that there should be no schism in the body and the members should have the same care one for another (1 Cor 12:25) ...

Here are verses where we are told to love one another ...

John 13:34
John 13:35
John 15:12
John 15:17
Romans 12:10
Romans 13:8
Galatians 5:13
Ephesians 4:2
1 Thessalonians 3:12
1 Thessalonians 4:9
Hebrews 10:24

1 John 3:11
1 John 3:23
1 John 4:7
1 John 4:11
1 John 4:12
2 John 1:5

you have read these verses seeing as how you've "read the bible a few times over", yes?

1 Corinthians 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

Again:
Men by nature are unwilling and at enmity against God, will not and cant submit to God.
Again.. God's power of grace takes care of that whole mess. Its simple.

Its Satan that wants to make it complex and confusing...

Do you even know what you are doing?

... so you know all the unsearchable riches of Christ? ... and you understand all of the ways of God?
actually it is impossible to understand all the ways of God
I know that and you know that but some folks here do not believe "there's anything new for [them] to know" and to suggest "there's so much more to know is to admit you still don't know what the gospel has revealed".

Instead of engaging in an edifying discussion concerning the body of Christ, the one who knows it all snubbed a fellow believer ... sad, sad state of affairs imo.

got to love this arminan vs calvin debate, as if there is no other view..
right ... to the calvinist, if you're not calvinist, you're arminian

to the arminian, if you're not arminian, you're calvinist

meanwhile, Scripture tells us there is one body in the Lord Jesus Christ with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head ... I wonder what He thinks as the calvinist chops off the arminian body part or the arminian chops off the calvinist body part ... and those that are neither are wondering why they'd mutilate the body of Christ ... pretty sad state of affairs ...

Colossians 3:

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

... so you know all the unsearchable riches of Christ? ... and you understand all of the ways of God?
None of that is true.
Oh really??? You just want to cut these verses out of your Bible?

Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ
Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Please allow me to keep those verses in my Bible and remind you of them if and when you claim to know all there is to know concerning God's Word. As I stated, we can live a lifetime and never come to the end of just knowing the beginning of Who God is.

My bible teaches that, Jesus didn't place any value on one's knowledge of the bible. He simple said, "believe in Me and ye shall be saved" but wise guys come along and add to what He plainly said.
yes, Jesus did say that. And sadly, some folks do that and go no further in growing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is why we have believers treating other members of the body of Christ as if they are not needful to the body so that the whole body is fully functioning without any schism.

God said that He will cast everyone who adds or takes away anything from what He said into the lake of fire. I think it would be wise to take what God said as truth and not to trash it as if He was joking
I do not believe @Genez was trashing the Word of God. I believe Genez was trying to teach you something that you completely rejected without any consideration.

There are truths hidden in Old Testament writings which are gloriously revealed in the New Testament writings.

That is why I say we can live a lifetime and never come to the end of knowing even the beginning of Who God is. He is that magnificent ... He is that glorious ... is there anything better in this world? ... can anything this world offers be better than knowing and glorifying God?

Could also be why John Calvin said

But we have to look at something else to.

The lord say I will Give my wisdom freely.

But he says ,.on the condition it's asked in faith in him, that's it's not to be miss used, and he will not give it to those who will lead people to become double minded.

As he knows what you have reaped before you have sown.

And he knows what you need before you asked.

If he finds you have stopped reaping he will increase your wisdom.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Saul once wasn't a servant, but he found out that he was an Elect Saint of God and God called him Paul. So, yeah Saul the Jew didn't know that he was an Elect Saint of God, until the Lord revealed it to him and he became Saint Paul the Christian guy
Saul became saved because he listened to Jesus on the way to Damascus, He believed he had met Jesus,. And Jesus said I will tell you what you need to do.

So after that he listened.

Before Jesus met Saul he was on his way to be chief executioner of Christians commissioned by the Israelites,

How on earth could he have been elected to be saved before the world was created.

I like that you like james.

But do you want to hear true Calvin or false Calvin 🤔
when I tell you "I prefer Scripture to Calvin" what makes you think I "want to hear true Calvin or false Calvin" ???

Job 23:12 ... I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

God's Word is food to the new creation within the born again believer.

Here is instruction Paul gave to Timothy concerning the Scriptures:

2 Timothy 3:

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

To turn from Scripture to read what someone wrote about Scripture is like having someone chew my food for me and then give it to me to eat.

And I'm not saying we shouldn't read books written about Scripture, or we shouldn't go to a good Bible teaching church ... I'm just saying I prefer Scripture to what someone says about Scripture.

And when I read a book about Scripture and go to church, I check out what is written in the book or spoken in the church against what is written in the Book if you catch my drift ...

Jean Calvin helped rescue people from catholic heresy 😊

It's also would be appreciated if you called him jean, in the future thanks 😊

I understand what your saying but I was just asking if you wanted to know a true calvin

I think it's important we need to address people miss representing his Christian walk.

I myself have always beliefed that free will should be far from a Christians mind and I feal strongly God told me this

And now I've discovered just recently that is also What God told jean

Even a neutral casual observer, would see the gaping holes in your theology.
Someone who is a 'neutral casual observer' would see gaping holes.

For it takes a Spirit filled believer who is concentrating to see it.

yet most people today when asked will say that they are saved because they accepted Christ.

What must one do beyond accepting Christ to be saved?

Besides faith?
What work do you deem needed to be saved?
